When pulling up to home to park along street and brakes would not engage. Hear a loud noise and brake message popped up on dashboard. Brake pedal fell to floor. Pulled emergency break to stop vehicle. Had vehicle towed to car docs in rocklin CA where they diagnosed the abs module (and other module failure). They stated that this tends to happen on older Ford/Mercury hybrids, and they were surprised that there wasn't a recall.
