Vehicle traveling at 55mph and wrench light came on. Vehicle engine did not stall but dropped rpms and would not respond to pressing the excelerator. Vehicle slowed to a crawl onto tne shoulder of the highway. After putting car in park and shutting off engine and then starting up again the wrench light went off and the car ran fine. 3 Engine Stall problem of the 2010 Mercury Milan

Failure Date: 11/08/2013

I was pulling away from a stop sign when the car engine seemed to stall out. It was surging a bit, but would not accelerate. I was able to pull over to the curb, but could continue to feel the engine surge as I was stopping. I turned off the car and the problem seemed to resolve. I was able to drive home normally after turning off and restarting the car.

4 Engine Stall problem of the 2010 Mercury Milan

Failure Date: 10/22/2013

At highway speeds the vehicle would have a total loss of power forcing a pull over and shutting car down waiting and restarting. The maintenance symbol(wrench) would go away and car will run smooth till next occurrence. Found out that there have been electronic throttle body failures resulting in engine stall and or surge while driving. These Ford vehicles are also having multiple led tail light failures due to defect. 400. 00 a piece for whole lens is only way to replace defective lamp.

5 Engine Stall problem of the 2010 Mercury Milan

Failure Date: 09/13/2013

Driver was proceeding on I-290 in left lane at speed of 60mph with moderate traffic. The engine started misfiring and bucking without warning and the vehicle experienced a drastic reduction of speed nearly causing accident from behind since the speed reduction was without warning. The wrench light illuminated. The engine continued to decelerate and created a situation where driver could not change lanes to right and was forced to move to left shoulder. The engine completely stalled and shut off before car stopped. After 30 minutes, vehicle started and operation resumed. Service department denied any problem with vehicle. 3 weeks later, while traveling 55 mph on NY rte 33, the vehicle stalled again at highway speed. The engine could be restarted but only operated with very rough condition. This vehicle is unfit and unsafe to be operated on a public highway.

6 Engine Stall problem of the 2010 Mercury Milan

Failure Date: 07/09/2013

I was driving to work when my 2010 Mercury Milan lost power. First the engine began missing and running rough, and then the engine stalled and the rpm dropped to idle speed (idling rough). The engine would not respond to the accelerator pedal. No throttle was present. The engine continued to idle (but it was a rough idle). The wrench light on the dashboard came on. I steered the car to the shoulder and turned the ignition off. After waiting a minute or so, I restarted the engine, and it started almost normally (it took a few more cranks of the starting motor for the engine to start). Then I drove to work and aside for seeming to miss from time to time, the engine ran normally. There was no wrench light visible on the dashboard. However, that afternoon, on the way home from work, the problem happened again as described above. The engine seemed to be running normally, then started missing, and stalled. The ¿wrench light came on. I pulled off the road, turned the engine off, waited a few minutes, and then re-started the engine. There was no ¿wrench light and the engine appeared to run normally. This series of events happened three more times before I was able to get the car home and park it in the driveway. This issue happened on July 9, 2013. I took the car to the dealership and was told that the electronic throttle body had malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. Losing power as described above while driving in traffic is extremely dangerous.

7 Engine Stall problem of the 2010 Mercury Milan

Failure Date: 05/24/2013

The first time this happened I was doing 60 mph on the freeway an my car lost power an would not accelerate but I could still turn an brake but the engine was stalling an shaking an the wrench light came one. I coasted off the road shut the car off an restarted it after a few minutes an the engine turned over for about 10 seconds before starting up an it drove fine. I took it in to the dealership an they said they couldn't do anything because they couldn't get the fault to happen so I took my car. Over the last few month it has happened multiple time but now it will stall out an the have the wrench light come one again an when I restart my car it will go about 50 feet an happen again about 7 times in a row. I have taken it to the dealership a few times an I keep getting the same answer.
