My [xxx] vehicle is under two recall notices. One is for faulty brakes, the other for a faulty driver's side airbag. I believe the NHTSA needs to carefully consider the consequences of this combination of defects. Right when you need the abs protection the system could fail potentially causing a crash and airbag deployment. This could kill the driver and others in the car. Unlike the passenger side airbag recall, this deadly combination renders the vehicle unsafe to drive. Recommend NHTSA order fomoco to provide suitable alternate transportation to affected car owners until recall repairs can be effected. My car has a recall for passenger side airbag, but my car is a Mercury and they don't make Mercury cars anymore, but Mercury was owned by Ford so I don't know what dealer to call to get it fixed.

Takata recall there may be an issue with my passenger side airbag deploying properly in the case of collision. However, the automobile manufacturer has not issued a recall with instructions on how to resolve the problem.

Takata recall has just been expanded again and the date Ford motor company will probably be extended again. Whoever will listen at NHTSA; I'd like to show a pic of a small kevlar 29 filled blanket I have installed over my cars passenger-side air bag. Since Ford isn't doing anything very soon I feel this will help toward reducing the chances of a throat or head trauma during deployment, can you get this picture to anyone interested as there's millions with this recall in limbo. The drivers side is not recalled - yet, but something similar could be produced cheaply.

Takata recall notice of recall on our 2007 Milan was received July 2016 and despite repeated attempts at local dealers to mitigate this issue, I am told the parts remain unavailable and to check back in 3 months. This has been going on for nearly a year. Based on the description of the recall we are driving an unsafe vehicle as the passenger side airbag could deploy in the event of an accident, rupture and injure the person in the passenger seat. Until such time as our vehicle has received replacement airbag(s) in satisfaction of the recall notice, I am requesting we be given a loaner vehicle to drive while we await repairs of the airbag.

Takata recall at this time, I am waiting for parts to arrive at my dealership so they can replace my defective part. It has been 7 months and I'm told by my dealer it could be Feb. 2018 before they see parts to repair this situation. Given that only a minor front end bump could set off the passenger side airbag and potentially maim or kill someone in my car is very threatening and scary to think about. (takata recall). They recommend you do not have passengers in the front seat of this vehicle due to active recall of the front passenger side airbag. This recall was in 2017. It is unacceptable that they have not fixed this issue as of today. It is not reasonable for one to not be able to have a a passenger in the front of a vehicle for over a year. They have not met the duty or standard of care owed to their vehicle owners. They have not preformed how a reasonable person would and may be negligent in their duties whether unintentional or not. Their is an implied danger that has been created and needed to be fixed. I am aware of the class action lawsuit, but this is only for someone who has taken their vehicle and had it fixed. What about those who are at risk for injury due to this defect and the recall they have offered no fix for for. To date.

Takata recall passenger side air bag is bulging dashboard.

The contact owns a 2006 Mercury Milan. While driving 20 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal and the driver side air bag ruptured independently without warning. As a result, the contact was blinded and rear ended the preceding vehicle. A police report was not filed. The contact sustained cuts under the eye, nose, and chin from the air bag. Medical attention was not received. The contact was able to drive the vehicle back home. The vehicle was towed to town motors inc (400 south dean street, englewood, NJ, 07631) where the dealer removed the black box from the vehicle to send off for investigation. Due to the excessive body damage from the collision and the repair cost, the vehicle was not repaired at the dealer except for the replacement of the black box. The dealer cut out the air bag from the driver's side. The contact drove the vehicle to an independent auto body shop. The body damage was repaired, but the driver's side air bag was not repaired because the body shop did not provide that type of service. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the air bag exploded due to contact with the other vehicle. The contact received NHTSA campaign number: 16v384000 (air bags) for the passenger side air bag. There was no recall notice received for the driver's side air bag. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000.

Takata air bag recall - reeieved notice of recall from Ford in July 2016 and have not heard from them since. What is taking so long to replace the passenger side airbag??? I received notification of recall involving the passenger side airbag in July of 2016. Your site shows me that the repair is still not available, almost a year later. So I am driving in a car and my passenger, usually my wife, is not as safe as she should be. I find this to be a serious problem. Can you help remedy the situation?.

"takata recall" - 16v-384 I received a recall letter notice in July of 2016 and called the Ford dealership right away. They did not have the part. I have inquired twice since and just called the dealership again who said they did not have the part and to call the Ford helpline. I just got off the Ford helpline and they said the part is still not available and I will be notified by letter when the part is available. I did express to Ford that I was worried about the safety of my passengers and was not happy about this. The person on the Ford helpline who identified himself as "eddie" said that Ford had decided that there was no danger and they had not had any complaints about the airbag malfunctioning so the car is safe to drive according to Ford. I inquired as to why only the passenger airbag was recalled and not the driver airbag or the side airbags. He said those others may be from a different manufacturer. I think that this has taken too long and I am concerned about the safety of my car. What is being done by the government to make takata correct this problem???.

Takata recall . We were notified years ago, still passenger side air bag not replaced. Now Ford is telling us not let anyone sit in the passenger seat. Ford had ignored all our correspondence. It's rediculous, will never purchase another Ford product.

Front, passenger-side dashboard housing the front, passenger-side airbag has become completely warped. This is a safety hazard that will not allow the front, passenger-side airbag to deploy properly. No parts are available online to resolve this issue.

The air back light is on which has affected the passenger side airbag. The dealer said that the module needs to be changed and if that does not fix the problem, then the seat railing needs to be changed out. Takata recall - got a letter from Ford back 5 to 7 years ago stating that my passenger side airbag was / needed replacement. I've been writing letter after letter to Ford corp every six months to a year and contacting my home dealership, gosch Ford in hemet, CA trying to get them to replace this bag. The last letter I got from Ford crop was dated 12/17 with an srn #16s26 / nhtsas recall 16v-384 stating that it was now 'my responsibility' and do not let anyone sit there. . . And will let me know when 'parts are available'. Really - how long is it going to take to get a "replacement bag"? this is ridiculous. Can you help? we their clients need accountability. Now. Don't put the blame on us. Ford - get the parts. I will be happy to send you all the letters that I've sent or you can contact ron/service manager at gosch/hemet. . . I've talk to him several times regarding this problem/issue and he blames it on Ford corp. Not getting him/them parts/airbags and many customers are waiting for them.

My wife had a green light and proceeded through and intersection. Someone in ran a red light and t-boned her in the drivers door doing approx 40 mph. None of the side curtain (or any airbags) deployed. My wife suffered head injuries and bruising to her legs and shoulders. The vehicle was only 5 months old and has been totaled. It has been a week since the accident and she has had a headache and neck pain since.

Involved in a serious motor vehicle crash on 8/14/08 in my vehicle and the air bags failed to deploy. This was a side, almost t-bone impact, and the curtain/side air bags did not deploy.
