Two problems related to accelerator pedal have been reported for the 1996 Mercury Villager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Intermittently the throttle will stick not allowing the vehicle to acccelerate when applying pressure. More than normal pressure has to to be applied, which makes vehicle accelerate with more speed than intended. Manufacturer was notified. Please provide more information.
Gas pedal sticks . When going in reverse hav eto push on pedal harder than it will surge.
