Two problems related to accelerator stuck have been reported for the 1996 Mercury Villager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
After coming to a stop at stop light accelerator pedal was stuck. Engine revved, and vehicle bumped into the one in front. Vehicle has accelerated like this twice. Dealer could not determine what caused this.
Put the car in reverse to back up and then we put the car in drive and the car took off and hit a wall, the accelerator was stuck.
