Air Bag Problems of Mitsubishi Lancer - part 2

The srs light came on in my Lancer. I have been told by the mechanic the part will take over a month to arrive as a result of a recall. I have been told that the air bag no longer works.

I was involved in a accident and the air bag exploded. My concern is I was 47 and pretty good shape yet I had pain in my chest for over12 mo. I concerned people in less shape than me will never survice the imkpact of that airbag because I felt like I barely survived. Maybe this is the way it works I never had one hit me before but to this day I still feel a little pain.

I got to work and put the car in park and turned the motor off. A CO-worker showed up, I was talking to him when I heard a loud bang, by the time I looked the driver side curtain air bag deployed. I lifted my arm up to cover my face. It burnt my left side arm and bruised my face.
