4 Abs Brake Fail problem of the 2001 Mitsubishi Montero

Failure Date: 04/04/2010

I was driving my vehicle, suddenly my brakes fail. I almost struck a motor vehicle and a pedestrian. My brake pedal was very hard. I had my mechanic check the vehicle. My brakes pads were fine. I later learn from the Mitsubishi dealer that I need a abs hydraulic unit. The repair is very expensive. My car is in good condition only 58,000 miles. Mitsubishi refused to cover the parts. At this moment the car is park. Can't seems to understanding how an abs unit fail suddenly leaving the car with no brakes. Believed it's a manufacture defect.
