1 Crankcase (pcv) problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2014

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that the vehicle decelerated and failed to accelerate. The engine stalled, but the vehicle was able to be restarted. The service engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the crankshaft sensor needed to be repaired. The dealer informed the contact that the previous vehicle owner had the vehicle repaired according to NHTSA campaign number: 07v527000 (engine and engine cooling) in 2007. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 120,000.
