1 Side/rear Glass problem of the 2014 Nissan Altima

Failure Date: 11/20/2013

The sunlight reflects off of the beige and glossy black interior finishes and causes a mirror image of the interior surfaces/glare onto the front and rear windshields. The glare on the glass is very bright and makes it difficult to see traffic lights and traffic signs as well as any other object in the glare zone. The glare zone ranges between 20 to 50% of the windshield area. This design fault was corrected in other Nissan cars but not in the Altima. I contacted Nissan and was advised "no correction can be made at this time".

2 Side/rear Glass problem of the 2001 Nissan Altima

Failure Date: 01/18/2008

The contact owns a 2001 Nissan Altima. The contact received a Nissan recall notice for the side/rear window. She took her vehicle to an authorized dealer, but they could not honor the recall. The dealer stated that the recall work could be performed; however, the contact would be responsible for the cost because the recall expired in June of 2007. The contact feels that she should not be responsible because she just received the notice in January of 2008. The recall number was unknown. The failure mileage was 50,000 and current mileage was 53,000.

The current and failure mileages were 41,000. * updated 12/12/07 the dealer stated passenger window makes noise, and remote switch is inoperable. Updated 12/12/07 updated 03-04-08.

4 Side/rear Glass problem of the 2005 Nissan Altima

Failure Date: 01/01/2007

The headlights on my 2005 Nissan Altima look like they are burned on the inside and foggy looking. At night they are very dim, almost as though I was driving in a constant thick fog. The front windshield has foggy looking circles all over inside the glass and makes visibility hard.
