I was driving my 98 Nissan Altima through a residential neighborhood when the side wall of my douglas performance tire blew out dot #pjae1ylr0712. I put the donut on my car and took the tire back to walmart. In speaking to the sales person he said that the tires were not worn down enough to be considered a manufactures defect. So the had no warranty, these tires will only be 7 months old on may,9,2013. They refused to honor their warranty because I didn't buy their road hazard warranty at an additional $10 per tire. These tires were purchased on 9/9/12 I still have the original receipt they are 95/65r15.

I purchased 4 new nexen 641 215 60/16 tires on 7/5/15 in nashville, TN at the action Nissan dealership. I drove to arizona from there, and the right passenger tire blew out 4 days later in the state of new mexico. There were no visible punctures. I believe it was defective. I have read online accounts of similar occurrences. It has me very concerned. Please note: the nexen brand is not available as a choice in your tire drop down options. Per your representative with whom I spoke today, I chose goodyear as the option instead. I was also given the reference # of [xxx]. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

I am the orginal owner of the vehicle. In the 2yrs I have owned this car I have brought 6 new tires. There is a problem with the wear. On 11/23 I had a tire blowout. There was a 9 inch rip between the tread and sidewall on each side of the tire. My major problem is the wear of the tire with the 01 Altima the tire pressure is 32. I have no idea if that contributes to the problems with the tires. Dt.

Driver side rear tire blewout at 70mph on I-85 in atlanta , GA on July 26, 2002, at approx 4:30pm. No accident or injury, as I was able to keep control of the car. A continental tire dealer examined the tire and said there was no sign of a puncture or damage from road hazard. The dealer could not determine why the tire failed. The failur was a seperation of the tread from the side walls. The dealer contacted continental and they agreed to replace the tire at no charge.

While driving down freeway at 70 mph my left rear tire violently blew out. I gained control of the car and was able to make it over to shoulder. Tire was absolutely shredded to pieces. I have never seen anything like it. There was no previous evidence of excessive wear on the tire, and there were no foreign objects in road or in tire. I was barely able to maintain control when the tire exploded and as I crossed over lanes to the shoulder. This tire could have caused a serious accident and deaths. ( dot number: ).
