Driver side mirror shakes or vibrates at normal driving speeds (city and highway) on flat paved roads. The shake or vibration is excessive making the images of vehicles shaky. It is worse in the night time with shaky images of headlights. It can be considered as a safety issue as the vehicles in the mirror are not clearly visible leading to near collision during changing lanes. Repeated attempts to replace the mirror with the dealer has not corrected the issue and the manufacturer claims that it is a "characteristic" of the mirror. Passenger side mirror has absolutely no issues I. E. . No shakes or vibrations at any speed in city or highway.

Today, my family & I almost bought the farm when the brakes went out on a freeway off ramp on our way back from phoenix. We exited the freeway at 70 mph and I applied the brakes to stop at the light. The brakes made a loud scraping noise, were non-functional and we were approaching cross traffic at 60 - 70 mph. I immediately dropped the car into neutral, started to apply the parking brake and headed for the dirt on the side of the road, figuring I would rather hit a tree or fence than t-bone a vehicle in the cross traffic. I was able to stop the vehicle by rubbing the passenger tires on the curb to create friction to stop. The vehicle mileage today is 61,707. The problem could not be duplicated as we had turned the vehicle off & apparently when restarted, it rebooted a sensor that caused the problem. (info from Nissan dealer). This is the 3rd time in less than 3 months that this has happened. It is a severe safety issue and someone will end up dead due to this problem if Nissan does not fix it. The consumer stated the brakes were replaced a total of five times within a years time. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer and was informed the problem was a malfunctioning sensor in the master cylinder or the power brake booster. The air conditioning system failed and the overhead console fell down while driving. Updated ivoq 07/15/10.

We own a 2008 Nissan Armada (le). We bought this brand new in Nov. 2008 from Nissan dealer in illinois. We have had a real bad problem with the car not defrosting the windows and when you have more than three people in car when driving it is not safe to drive. This SUV has been in and out of dealers and they can't seem to find the problem. This is not safe to drive during the winter months, this has been going on from the first cold weather day from when we bought it. I feel this is a life safety issue that needs to be looked into.
Vehicle's heater/defroster fails to operate on any given day. Since 10/7/2007 this vehicle has been in the shop 8 times for the heater/defroster issue. Nissan have replaced several parts, but it still does not operate. This is reference to odi#10212374 dated 12/19/2007 which I never got a response. As of today 10/8/08, this is issue is still not fixed!.

The rear strut, window and moon roof were leaking. The rear ac pipe and o-ring were replaced to rectify the problem with the air condition not cooling. The hatch struts were replaced due to excessive play.
