Discovered my 2015 Nissan Frontier extended cab model has a very obvious out of aligned situation in the truck bed. It is off on the drivers side significantly and easily viewed with the human eye compared to the passenger side. The bed appears pushed over closer to the passenger side. Discovered on Nissan forums that this is occurring in many other Frontiers . Today went to a dealership and they stated that there are no known issues concerning the out of alignment on Nissan Frontier beds. How come there are numerous occurrences of this same issue and its not being addressed by Nissan?.

The frame on these vehicles are unsafe due to persistent corrosion which also carries throughout other parts under the vehicle like their steering. In my case, the rust is settling in and causing the frame to deteriorate despite it only have 69k miles. The concern is obviously having the vehicle crumble during use. Here are just a few other complaints listed on the internet by other owners. . Read more...

I sent a complaint once. Have not heard back from you yet. This truck was purchased on March 6th, 2015 and delivered on March 8th, 2015 with mfg defects and Nissan refuses to stand by their warrantee and replace, refund, or fix the problems. One is unable to be fixed and should be considered a lemon in oregon. The truck bed is out of alignment by 9mm. The driver's side has a larger gap between the cab and bed than the passenger's side. The driver's seat has a 1 inch gap that does not belong there in the fold between the back and the cushion. This is ugly and does not match the passenger seat. These are both noticeable flaws by the naked eye, vehicles are being sold which are out of alignment should be considered a safety and manufacture defect. Defects are supposed to be covered by warranty and Nissan refuses to address these issues or buy back the vehicle. There are also rusting parts on undercarriage, and was a leak in the rear door seat belt chamber which had stained the seat belt, and there was glue applied at dealer to correct the leak only they lied about fixing it so they would not replace the stained seat belt. You can see the glue.
My friend and I were traveling on the I-40e in new mexico. He was driving my truck and feel asleep at the wheel. He woke up and oversteered and caused us to crash my truck into the right side highway ditch at about 70 miles per hour. We hit first with the front right of my truck and then tumbled 3 times smashing all sides of the truck especially the front. We had our seat belts on so we weren't ejected, but air bags never deployed. My dog was in the backseat of the 4 door truck and was ejected and died shortly after. I sustained several injuries to my face, head, arms, shoulders, and back.

Nissan has failed to do an inline laser radar inspection, or proper inspections on some assembly of its trucks. I purchased a defective Frontier king cab s automatic and Nissan has not yet agreed to take it back. The truck bed or cab is off by 9mm or more. Bolts and welds were not properly aligned during assembly and nor were checked for quality and consistency after assembly and then sold to consumers with faults as there are several of these trucks out there with this defect. I found 2 at another dealer which were free from this defect. That is the vehicle I wanted. While driving down the freeway at 60mpg or less, there is a shake or imbalance in the steering, and needs constant adjustment. It seems to veer off to the right when the steering wheel is in a straight position. This could be caused by the whole truck being out of alignment or even just the truck bed. After reporting it to Nissan, they told me to take it to the service shop and have it documented. It was reported to me that in their database this crooked bed has come up and they attempted to but were unable to repair it. I was told disassembling the body of a vehicle is not only dangerous but is damaging, so they told me this is how Nissan makes them, nothing they can do. But since then I found some without flaws, so what he said is not true. My truck's driver side has a large gap between the back of the cab and the truck bed 9mm off. The cab door on my truck leaked water into the seat belt chamber, soaking and staining the seat belt, and also has a defective driver's seat which has a one inch gap between the chair back and seat cushion. This is not normal on other exact models I looked at and photographed. This is not the way the engineers designed this model of trucks. I was told that the driver seat defect also is simply how Nissan designed it another lie. Rust is also an issue.
Weather turned from rain to icy. South bound on street that overpass interstate. Truck spun around several times first in south bound lane hitting guard rail on west side, went over the curb and median into north bound lane spin again before coming to rest against 4ft high concrete divider on bridge. The driver side air bag is the only one that deployed. My wife was in passenger seat. No other air bags deployed. This truck had dual stage supplemental front air bags and Nissan aabs. . Thankfully our seat belts were probly what protected us from being thrown from the truck. As I stated only the air bag in steering wheel deployed. This should be looked into with all the recalls going on. I had not recieved any notice about this problem. I went to emergency room the following Tuesday to get xray of chest because of pain. My wife went to her dr also.
After driving my vehicle to work (around 15 miles), the lights began to dim and the radio turned on and off several times. I parked in the garage where I work, and went to my office to get in touch with a mechanic. About 1/2 hour later, a police officer called because my truck caught fire. It caused damage to the parking structure, and obviously to the vehicle, including melting many of the components under the hood, as well as smoke damage to the inside of the truck. It was totaled.

Automobile has body rust and rust like staining. Nissan attempted to repair by putting sanding pudding and painting it. Car still has constant rust problems. Nissan corporate office is unable to come up with solution at this time. The rear bumper in particular has that issue Nissan cut holes in it to drain water out after it rains to prevent further rusting. Ongoing issue with no solution. This is a 2011 model purchased new.

This vehicle was involved in a mva where it hit the broadside of a minivan (t-boned) that ran a red light through an intersection. The truck was going in excess of 20mph at the time, when I contacted the Mini-van no airbag was deployed. I suffered hits to my head, whiplash related damages, damage to my shoulder and right leg. The impact caused significant front end damage to the truck, the engine and body were damaged to the point where I was not able to drive the truck and engine was inoperative. No airbag deployment.

I have just over 100,000 miles on my 2003 truck. I have been fighting rust issues all over the rig for the past five years. I wash and clean my truck each week and polish twice a year. I do live near the beach, but I understand this, and being a aircraft mechanic by trade, working with aircraft on ships at sea, know how to properly service my equipment. The rust comes out under the paint, along the rear cab brake light, and along the front wind shield, passenger side. The rig has never been in an accident and since I'm retired and I bought the truck new, I have taken good care of it. Nissan refuses to deal with the issue, and I believe the paint system they use needs serious up grading.

Vehicle has severe rust corrosion from the back cab break light. It looks like the seal around the light was compromised and causes moisture to seep in and leak through the roof. It looks as if it is rusting from the inside out.
Tl-the contact owns a 2011 Nissan Frontier. While driving approximately 35 mph, the front driver's side door released open independently. The contact manually hand held the door in order for it to remain closed when driving due to the faulty latch. The vehicle was being taken to an authorized dealer for diagnosis and repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 24,530. Js.
Left work about 4 days ago at night when I was driving on the highway and the truck cut out on me(no gas pedal) so I look down at the voltage gauge and its reading about 10v. . . . . So I thought to myself "ok well maybe the alternator finally went after all the [xxx]I put it through. "
went to pull over and here is where it gets weird, I went to hit the brakes and the pedal went to the floor, I coasted to the slow lane and turned my acc. Off and got it back home safely. Long story short I tested the alternator and battery, both of which were shorted/old/dead. . . . Replaced both at the tune of $191 for the alternator and $70 for the battery. Now, I hooked everything up today. Started the truck. . . Volt gauge is back at 10v. . . Then I see a small amount of smoke from under the hood, shut the truck off to find that the brake lines going from the master cylinder to the abs module are smoking. . . And the lines leaving the module are as well. I cooled everything down, went inside to grab a drink (4-5 min) and came back out and the truck was completely dead. . . Unhooked the battery and put it on a trickle charger for now. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

The cab truck body mount has 6 large washers holding the cab to the truck. While the truck was parked and running 3 of the washers broke off. Not sure if the weld failed or what caused them to break loose. Will the cab stay on the truck? the truck was parked I heard the bang and looked on the passenger side to find the washers right behind the front passenger tire. Ever heard of this happening? I can't wait to hear an excuse from the dealer as to why that happened. Contact me anytime!!!.

The contact owns a 2003 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that the exterior paint on the roof of the vehicle began to peel all the way down the driver's side. There were also visible rust spots and holes in the paint. He was concerned that a small child could eat the paint and that the paint job seemed to be defective. The current and failure mileages were less than 105,000.
This truck has been worked on multiple times for rust, corrosion, gas tank leaks, bearings and rear differential. It continues to rust and corrode. The motor runs well but the vehicle has rusted even with excellent care. I am so disappointed. The gas tank has been fixed multiple times and continues to corrode and leak. I think that all of these issues need to be checked on. The rear differential has corroded and all of these issues are very expensive every time that it has to be fixed. I would appreciate your help with these problems.
