The hood of my truck popped opened at 67 mph while driving on 595 east bound on florida highway between flamingo and university exits. Due to the impact it cracked my windshield and obvious loss of visibility to highway. After pulling over and inspecting the vehicle, it seems like the latch of the hood came off while driving. I have not received an explanation how this malfunction could have happened. Luckily there was no harm to myself only the damage to hood, windshield, top of vehicle roof and missing latch and the emergency cable that is hooked up to hood. My antenna also broke from the impact and the hood does not close all the way.

VIN#: 1n6adocu2en749235; my vehicle is still in warranty and "baker Nissan" in houston, TX has refused to honor "drivetrain warranty". The one piece "cast aluminum "bell housing" (the "major connection" between the "engine and automatic transmission, covering the major "torque converter" which is basically the "hydraulic turbine that converts the engine rpm's/torque into hydraulic torque within the transmission, to the driveshaft, to rear axles, to wheels. The "alum. Bell housing" has "hundreds of major cracks" all around the portion (bottom & passenger side) that I can see and feel and "marked in red" in about 4 of 8 pictures which appears as it is possible, I could eventually "desintigrate". . . , which could possibly allow the transmission to spin. . . I "only wonder" if the "floor shifter" spun to the left, if it could brake my right leg "into". . . Guess that could be worse case. . . ? my bell housing (from my little. Knowledge of metalurgy) was "cast" with either "low grade aluminum", "too thin a casting", not "treated properly", etc, etc. Whichever or where ever the "casting mfg. "; did not cast my "bell housing" alone with inferior aluminum alloy or thickness! he (mfg. ) cast hundreds if not thousands of these inferior aluminum "bell housing" castings. If I have not already stated before, brad baker, owner(?) of baker Nissan in houston, TX, yesterday June 1, 2017, (paraphasing him): ". . . You have been complaing about this (vibration and ultimatly transmission "slipping") for 2 years now, (to my knowledge, truck never lifted & looked at, all checking done by computer) and we found nothing wrong. . . And for me not to bring my vehicle to baker Nissan again. . . " ! 31,000+ miles, June 1, 2017 I'm near 63, and fighting bone cancer, can't afford a lawyer,. . . Don't really know what to do. . . ? help from you all would be appreciated. . . !!! thank you, rodger.

Coolant contamination destroyed my transmission; clutches, valves, seals, causing corrosion to valve body. Starting with cracked radiator tank. This is an engineering/manufacturing defect. This is a well known trending issue. When I called Nissan USA, they only gave me a 'lecture', a 'case number' and a 'foot in the rear'; they're no help. They justified their convenient bureaucratic bs by telling me that in oct 2012; a class action lawsuit resulted in the following: up to 8 years/80,000 miles whatever comes first, extended warranty coverage applies with no customer CO-pay. After 8 years/80,000 miles, up to 9 years/90,000 miles, extended warranty coverage applies with customer CO-pay in the amount of $2,500. After 9 years/90,000 miles, to 10 years/100,000 miles, whichever comes first, extended warranty coverage applies with customer CO-pay in the amount of $3,000. The 'so-called' settlement is really "nothing" because according to data average mileage at which this problem occurs is roughly 95,000 miles and the average repair bill is $3,800. In that instance, Nissan is offering to pay $800 for your trouble, and the vehicle owner gets stuck with the other $3,000. And those who are just hearing about the class-action lawsuit for the first time; the deadline to file a claim has passed. Let it be known once again that this is an engineering/manufacturing contamination toxic defect; irreversible and will eventually kill the transmission in the following vehicles: 2005-2006-2007 pathfinder;. . . 2005-2006-2007 xterra;. . . 2005, 2006, 2007, Frontier. I paid the Nissan dealer $30,000 thousand cash back in 2005 for a truck that already had 120 miles on it (stated on the pink slip). They did not hesitate to extend their 'hungry hand' on that sale.

A burning or hot component odor occurred on a long trip with the a/c set to automatic control at 74 f with outside temps in the 80's. The heat "odor" was tracked to a section approx 2 inches square of the a/c ducts under the glove compartment on the passenger side. It appears to be a point near a motor or hot side of the exchange coil. The surface of the duct appeared to be hot enough to cause blistering if skin were held in contact for an extended duration. A barefoot passenger falling asleep could receive a burn. If cargo or a purse prevents air from circulating on the outside of the duct, it is unknown if it could get hot enough to ignite combustible materials.

Radiator cracked and leaked coolant into my transmission, killing the transmission.
I was driving on the interstate, and then all the sudden the rpms went up and I had no control with the gas pedal, like it was in neutral, I pulled over to the shoulder put it in park, put it back in drive and it started to go again, as soon as I hit 4th gear it did it again. Took it to the transmission shop and the told me it was the radiator leaking into the transmission because of a cracked line. See this has been happening frequently with this model, why no warning or recall?.
I have already filed a complaint: Friday June 2, 2017. This is from research on www (thousands of ads to sell Nissan "bell housings on www); from youtube concerning a $7,000 reair: autonation Nissan of brandon in brandon, FL did the work and a few months later and a couple thousand miles I am having no issues and much of the bell housing rattle is gone! they ended up replacing my drive shaft along with the bell housing, and I also got a new front catalytic converter/downpipe as it was damaged during removal due to seized hardware. The whole warranty job was around $7,000! from youtube (the "red lines" in my attached photos are "cracks", you can "hang" your fingernail on) I learned there has been "bell housing decentigration, rear end of engine crankshafts breaking off, transmission bearings spinning in the trans. Housings and driveshafts wobbling, etc, etc. Should I report this to "federal trade commission? the date below is when I was driving (180 miles) home after purchasing vehicle. Baker Nissan has been "jerking" me around for over two (2) years now. That is the reason brad baker stated to ". . . Don't bring the vehicle back there again. . . " and I still have 28,000 miles / 2 1/2 years warranty on vehicle! drivetrains don't "vibrate" !!!.
The automatic transmission radiator cracked and coolant leaked into the transmission rendering it useless.
My transmission on my 2005 Nissan Frontier completely failed and left me stranded on the interstate highway. After towing it and a little research I found out that this was a problem that Nissan was well aware of and neglected to notify me or do anything about. The transmission cooler had cracked leaking engine coolant into the transmission. I learned that they extended the warranty to 90,000 miles with a $3000 dollar deductible which is laughable, considering that this was a problem that is going to cost about that to fix on my own. Nissan states on their website that they extended the warranty for customer satisfaction, in reality they got sued and that was the settlement. Nissan should have recalled these trucks years ago like a morally responsible company would have and I would not have to be running up credit card debt to fix it now.
A crack in the radiator has caused coolant to mix with the transmission fluid. This has resulted in catastrophic failure of the transmission requiring the replacement of the transmission and complete radiator replacement. I have been quoted a total cost of close to $5000.
Radiator crack caused transmission failure we have 81,000 miles on the truck so they want us to have to pay 2500+ dollars for a 6 year old truck for which we had a 100,000 mile warranty/72 month warranty and on which we paid hundreds of dollars for every major mileage inspection and service. Nothing was done to tell us or warn us of this. People will also lose resale value because no one will want to buy the vehicles. We should be compensated for the repairs and the loss of resale potential.
The radiator developed a crack and cause fluid to leak into the transmission lines causing a failure to both pieces of equipment. This could have been avoided if Nissan would have warned me about issues concerning this failure that is occurring in lots of similar models.
Extended or crew cab is overextended and vision is affected. Tracking devices from unknown source and foreign surveillance interrupts communication and they drain the new battery. The tracking system has stalked the Nissan in traffic. Please locate the foreign equipment and systems so they can be removed and their surveillance commune also, for insurance purposes also lorraine licalzi 813-230-7841.
