Consumer states problem with ball joint on vehicle the consumer was advised that an individual ball joint was not available and he would have to purchase both ball joints and the linkage in between the two joints at a cost of $301. 13 as opposed to buying one ball joint in the range of $50. 00.

2 Front Suspension Upper Ball Joint problem of the 2004 Nissan Frontier

Failure Date: 05/14/2004

While driving 65 mph vehicle vibrated uncontrollably. Consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and drove it to the dealer. Mechanic replaced both front upper and lower ball joints due to corrosion. Dealer realigned front end due to incorrect alignment. Front tires were replaced by a tire dealer because they're out of balance. Also, consumer noticed that oil is leaking from transmission, vehicle has manual transmission.
