1 Engine Shut Off Without Warning problem

Failure Date: 07/09/2018

I bought my 2011 Nissan Juke brand new. It has just over 57,000 miles. While driving I was about to enter the highway when the engine just shut off. No warning lights came on before the vehicle shut off. I had the vehicle towed to a Nissan dealer and was told it jumped timing and a new engine was needed. I've kept up with all the maintenance and have all my receipts. I had the timing chain replaced during a service campaign in 2014. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs and after 3 days I was informed they would cover 70% of the repairs. Which means my portion is just over $3,300. I believe this should be covered 100% as this is a safety issue with many other experiencing the same. I hate to think what would have happened if I had made it on to the highway. Nissan is well aware of this issue and should do more to rectify it.
