I was in a parking ramp attempting to park in a tight space that required back & forth maneuvering. I was going forward towards a concrete wall. All of a sudden my car lurched forward to the wall causing damage to my car. This all happened in a matter of seconds. Speed was minimal.

The Feb system is braking when not necessary, causing potential serious damage/injury. The sensor is also affecting my icc/cruise control. An orange light comes on while using cruise control and the cruise control stops/fails and will not reengage until I stop the vehicle and turn it off, then on again.

Forward collision control sensor goes on and off, until it stays off all the time. It also has made the cruise control unoperable. After about 1 month the abs light came on, the code was yaw sensor. Reset code and no problems for about 10 days. Started car one morning in garage and abs light was on again, same code. On many internet sites there are thousands of people complaining about the forward collision control on the Muranos and other Nissan models. There should be a recall on these issues. Dealerships want to hold my car for 4-5 days before working on it, then tell me the problems with it and then me tell how much to fix it and when they can get to it. This forward collision problem is a safety issue braking the vechile to avoid a wreck.

The cruise will not maintain the set speed when going downhill. This does not have to be a steep hill. Any downward slope with cause the speed to increase until I hit the brake pedal. It has gotten up to 13 miles over before I hit the brake. I owned a 2018 Murano and it did not do this. I've also owned many other vehicles with cruise control and none have done this. I have taken this to town center Nissan more than once for this problem and they say that it they can't duplicate it and then the answer changed to it is normal when going downhill.

My 2018 Nissan Murano intelligent forward collision warning system (ifcws) kicks on randomly and inadvertently when there is no forward collision risk. This causes the ifcws light to come on and the cruise control to be disabled while driving causing a higher risk of an accident. This is a known issue that has yet to have a recall.
The sensor shuts off and warning beeps “unavailable front radar obstruction” which then shuts off cruise control and crash avoidance. This happens in dry weather with no rain or snow.
Forward collision warning lamp in dashboard lights up and cruise control is disabled. This consistently happens at 10. 8 miles in the morning when the vehicle is driven for the first time of the day. If you shut the vehicle off then restart the vehicle it only goes a few miles before the forward collision warning lamp lights up again and cruise control is disabled. This happens regardless of whether cruise control is in use, or if cruise control is not in use. The following service bulletin describes the issue with my vehicle perfectly and replacing the icc distance sensor at the end of the flow chart, https://static. Nhtsa. Gov/odi/tsbs/2020/mc-10179568-0001. Pdf. I do not understand why Nissan has recognized the defect, issued a service bulletin, and chosen not to issue a recall for this safety related issue.
The front radar obstruction light on my 1025 Nissan Murano has occasionally come off and on in bad weather (to be expected) and under normal driving conditions. I have had to have it are-aligned previously. Recently however, the light started coming on and off when I was stopped or in park. It would clear when I started driving. Eventually it would start coming on and stay on for very long stretches of time. I brought the car in to be looked at and was told I needed a new sensor for approximately $1500. I got no other explanation. I have seen hundreds, if not thousands of complaints about these sensors going bad. I even found a recall campaign (ntb19-033/a) for the exact problem. I was told this is a service campaign and it seemed as if it was at the dealerships discretion to follow the campaign. I am not sure if the manufactured date was even looked at as stated in the campaign. I have had numerous occasions where I have been using cruise control on the highway and all of a sudden the car starts slowing down without my immediate knowledge. There is no way to bypass this sensor in order to use cruise control either. I feel that this issue is a safety concern and the part should be recalled.

Yesterday, my wife and I were on i94 eastbound in heavy afternoon traffic, in the left of three lanes, and crossed from minnesota into wisconsin. The car was on interactive cruise control. The freeway entry to wisconsin is a long, uphill grade and I needed to get out of the left lane in preparation to exit about 3 miles ahead. I turned off the interactive cruise control and pressed the accelerator in order to safely merge into the faster moving center lane. I instantly lost control of the engine. Not only did the engine not respond to pressing the accelerator, it actually bogged down and slowed. Having effectively lost power because I had no control over the engine, I tried to shelter on the left shoulder but is was not wide enough to get the car out of the left lane. Worse, the narrow shoulder between the left lane and the concrete barrier wall was full of debris, and I immediately had a terrible fear of puncturing a tire in which case I would really be in trouble. The car came to a stop and I still had no control over the engine, sitting there with high speed traffic swerving around us. I put the transmission in neutral and it still didn’t respond to the throttle, and the same with park. Finally, I stopped the engine and restarted, and I then had control of the car. When a gap in traffic came, I got back on the freeway and continued home with no further incident. I could easily have been hit by a high speed vehicle, or caused a severe accident involving others due to vehicles unexpectedly finding us stopped, and still partially in the left lane. The car will go to the dealer next week. I was so terrified that I do not know if there were warning lights lit on the dash, but I didn't see any.

The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph with the cruise control activated, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000.
While driving with cruise control set at 80, I passed a vehicle and as I began to return to the driving lane from the passing lane, the control panel beeped and a warning "front radar unavailable due to obstruction" appeared and the vehicle immediately decelerated drastically and the cruise control was disengaged and disabled. I had to react quickly to avoid a rear collision by accelerating rapidly. There were no vehicles in front of me or on either side. The cruise was disabled for about 4-5 minutes. This happened a total of 12 times in a 5. 5 hour trip. I googled the problem and realized that it was ongoing for many years and involved a recall on other vehicles, but not mine. This is dangerous and should be a recall part before someone gets killed or seriously injured.
The problem we have with the Murano is the cruise control. We live in a mountainous area and the issue we have is the cruise control will not maintain our speed when going downhill. It wasn't until we had bought the car that we learned that because the vehicle is equipped with a cv transmission that the car cannot downshift to slow the car down in a dissent. The first time we hit a downward slope heading home from the dealer the car increased in speed twenty miles over the set speed. The only waring we got was the cruise control set speed display was flashing. Had we known that the Murano was not able to maintain a reasonable speed going downhill we never would have bought it. We raised our concerns about the cruise control issue to the dealer we purchased it from, and they told us that the manual states that the cruise control won't maintain a reasonable speed in a downhill. Never explaining why it doesn't. We finally got the answer from another Nissan dealer. He explained that a cv transmission cannot downshift to slow a vehcle down because it doesn't have gears. I have spoken to our people that own vehicles with a cv transmission and that their cars can hold a set speed by throttling down and apply brakes. We spoke to a Nissan representative and she had us take the car to another dealership for a diagnostic test, which we did, but never got a response from them. Again, let me state that we would have never bought a car that cannot maintain a reasonable speed going downhill had we known.
The distance measuring sensor failed on my 2018 Murano. The vehicle would suddenly brake on its own without warning, with no vehicles in its path. Then, later if a vehicle would pass you and move in front of you a warning light would go on with the message "front radar unavailable due to obstruction". There are service bulletins out on this since 2015. It is my understanding through research that Nissan received a bad lot of sensors from their oem producer. They are aware of this, yet they refuse to issue a recall to replace these defective sensors.
Front radar obstruction warning comes on and and cruise will turn off and vehicle will start quickly slowing down. This happens in both city and highway driving. After about 5 to 10 minutes the warning light goes off and I can reset the cruise. I believe this is a safety issue and brought it to the attention of the dealer but they said there was nothing they can do unless there is a recall.

Adas is completely unresponsive. The vehicle breaks unexpectedly without cause or warning. The problem is most common when crossing railroad tracks. This presents an extreme safety hazard to myself and my family. The system no has no function and I am unable to utilize the most basic features, to include cruise control. The adas system lights are continuously illuminated on my dash, even after attempts to reset the system.
The front radar module frequently fails disabling the automatic emergency braking and the adaptive cruise control.
