On 02/09/2021 approximately 8pm, arrived to my destination, turned car off, went inside. Approximately 1. 5 hours later (9:30pm) went back to my car to bring my suitcase and pillow in. When I removed my pillow from the back passenger side seat, noticed the big scorched area and the seams were bright red, the seat was burning hot to touch. Burning smell was noted, and the seat switch was still on though the car was off over a hour. The other seats were normal ( cool ) to touch. I immediately disconnected the battery cables and stayed by the car making sure the seat area cooled to normal. Note. . . . . My pillow was scorched too. The car is a 2017 Nissan Murano, bought it new.

The front passenger side window would go down when I tried to close the window. The remote quit working, replaced the battery in the remote, did not solve the problem. Drove about 75 miles. Parked & shut off the car & took the keys out of the ignition, locked the car manually, closed the doors, the driver side & passenger side windows rolled down. Unlocked the driver side door with the key, the alarm went off. Could not get the alarm to go off, since the remote does not work. It stopped all by itself about 1 minute later. Rolled the windows back up & closed the door & windows rolled down again. The alarm went off again. I had to disconnect the +battery cable to get it to stop. I reconnected the battery cable & the alarm started going off again. I had to lock the drivers side door, reconnect the +battery cable & unlock the drivers side door with the key. I have not taken it in to a repair shop yet. That's next. . .

Bought car in 2003, battery had to be replaced within a week of purchase. A year later, the alternator had to be replaced. Last week, while driving the car stopped while trying to turn left at intersection. Could not put car into park, turn on hazard light, or pull car keys out. Towed to dealer by triple aaa. Dealer claims that battery cable was loose. I do not work on my car or open the hood other when the dealer does the maintenance.

I have a Nissan Murano 2003 & have had the following problems with it. I was on an online forum & there was a link to this site to list the problems I have had with this vehicle. My car was purchased in Jan. 2003. Since then I have had the following problems: defective alternator defective bose cd player defective battery defective cupholder all the items were fixed or replaced by Nissan under warranty. However I have read that many people have had problems with their alternators but have not reported to a governent agency.
