August 18, 2018 bout 9:50 pm, after passing threw new albany on my way back to memphis after leaving starkville, ms. When it felt like my Nissan Murano was losing power on highway 78 with one vehicle in left lane bout car length behind and another bout three car length behind me in the right lane. I pulled off on right side of the road bout 100 yards from exit to glenfield and oxford, ms. The vehicle would only move about 5 or 7 miles hour allowing me to make it to glenfield/ oxford turnoff then just stopped would not move any farther. Cutting on the hazardous blinkers was draining the battery power. A lady stopped and gave me a bus off but battery died shortly after she left. Being on the other side of new albany I could only text allowing me to text my son who was on his way from starkville after he got off work at 10:30 pm. When my son arrived we charged the battery for 10 to 15 minutes giving the Murano enough power to make mile or mile and a half back to new albany where lost all power again. Walmart was close by where purchased a new battery allowing me to make 60 or less miles back to memphis. The battery and brake lights remained on I cut off all unnecessary power. Monday morning I plan to take to Nissan dealer after learning off recall for this same problem.

Takata recall. . I drove my 2005 Nissan Murano and I parked the Nissan. 20 minutes later started to back the car and as soon as I put it on dr it went by 2 miles an hour so then I pressed on the gas all the way down and it still went to miles an hour it's still drove but it was going around 5 miles an hour. Then I parked the Nissan and let it cool off and see what was wrong. I could not find nothing, I called my husband he could not find nothing either, he drove it around the block and it still went 5 miles an hour so then he checked the engine nothing was wrong but it did say abs and then around 20 minutes later the Nissan turn on and it went normal and nothing happened until 2 months later. The next time I was at a drive-thru and then all of a sudden the abs turn on and it did not want to go fast it went again five miles an hour. Then I turn around the corner and then it went fast but then it went slow again so I park the Nissan, and begin to start it and then it wouldn't start the abs went on again, then the battery was dead. I finally got a jump and it turned back on like normal and it went normal until I got to the store and I left the Nissan on with the air condition and had my son in the car. My son said that air conditioner keep going on and off on and off the windows were not working try to roll down the windows it wasn't working so then I got in the car and as soon as I put it in dry it didn't want to go it went 5 miles an hour then the abs turned back on and then it went back to normal I was driving I made it all the way home and that is what's going on with a Nissan Murano.

Battery went dead for no reason. Parked car about 1pm; upon attempting to drive vehicle about 5pm found I could not open door with my remote. Inserted key in door and unable to turn to unlock. Had a CO-worker try and he could not turn. Had a third person try and after turning very hard, he was able to unlock door. Upon opening door, interior lights did not go on as they normally do. Tried to start car in normal way - nothing. Put key fab into ignition - nothing. Determined that battery dead. After jumping vehicle, it started and ran fine. Determined that nothing was left on other than the fan for the air conditioning. Now carry jumper cables and conscious to park where car can be jumped if necessary.

Car battery died suddenly with no lights or anything else left on. It happened twice and was exactly same. Both cases I was stranded with no other options to tow the car and need to take taxi to get my family home, I was lucky to have access to taxi. Dealers were unable to locate and fix the fault in both cases and give me lame excuse something was left on. For me it's serious safety issue as I can't afford to take my family in this car with no confidence that when would it die again. My family was stranded once outside in 100f heat and I don't want this to happen again. Either they identify the issue and fix it or take the car back and replace it with similar car. Regards.
Battery dies every 4 to 6 mo. Have to keep buying new batteries because Nissan says they can not find a problem. First time with original oem battery (2 years old) on vacation and the battery died in the hotel paring lot on a Sunday out of town. Would not jump start. No dealer open so bought a $150 battery from well known parts store. Now every 4 to 6 mo battery dies the same way, will not jump start because deed cell in battery this is the 5th battery now in 2 years. Nissan says they can not find any thing and the parts store says its not their batteries. I am left with a car I can not take on trips as it will die on us. Nissan says they can not find any problems and a new battery is replaced but happens again. Parts store runs test on battery and on car they show intermittent spikes but it does not show up on there elect. Tool. Help I am stuck and no I wants to help.
Purchased car new in may 2008. Battery went dead after not being driven in Feb 2009. Jumped battery and discussed with dealer. Was told to disconnect battery if car was not going to be driven for 2 weeks. Did this but battery died again in June 2009. Took car to dealer; they found no problem. Battery died again in March 2010 (mileage 9,208). Dealer put in a new battery. In may 2011, battery died again(mileage 15,527) . Had disconnected battery during a vacation, when the car was sitting, and it started upon return but died 3 days later. Went to dealer and they kept car for several days, attempting to find the problem. They disconnected the car alarm, and assured me they would stand by the car if this happened after 3 yr. Warranty expired. Returned from vacation in oct 2011 and again the battery would not start the car (mileage 17,760). Dealer installed another new battery. June 2014 the car died again after sitting for 3 days. Dealer will not accept problem with car and/or battery and will charge a diagnostic fee to resolve problem. Since they haven't been able to solve problem over the past 5 years, am reluctant to pay them again. Have filed complaint with Nissan customer service. No response to date.

Car had lost power on a few occassions a year ago, which was brought to Nissans attention. They performed diagnostics and said there were no codes. Shortly there after the vehicles battery went dead. Took it to Nissan, they replaced it, and charged us for the battery. Approximately 6 months later we got loss of power again followed by brake and battery light coming on then car died. After research I see there was a TSB but no one at the dealership told me about it even after I had asked them if there had been any tsbs issued since this was the first year of the vehicles exsistance. My wife was driving the car when the loss of power occurred and thank god she was not hit!!!!!.
