The rear subframe rusted off on drivers side. I financed this car only 10 months ago and now I can not drive it. It is very dangerous to drive, and the mechanic told me I should no longer drive it because of how dangerous it is. I have seen numerous complaints about people having the same rear subframe rusting. I can not afford to get it fixed and I’m still paying on the car. I got it for $7,500 and have put over $2,000 in it. I still have $4,500 left on it. They need a recall, this is a safety hazard for not only the driver and passengers, but for civilians walking or driving by the car, which at any moment the tire can fly off. Please recall the vehicles before someone puts in a lawsuit.
I was backing out of my drive when we heard a loud sound from the rear of the car. We though I had ran over something. As I drove we could hear a thumping sound from the rear of the car when we drove over a bump in the road. . It became louder the more I drove sounding like a hammering sound. I crawled under the car and discovered the frame had rusted allowing a bolt and bracket to move. This is causing the metal thumping sound we heard. I have parked the car and stopped driving it due to the possibility of the frame and suspension separating while moving. This is my wife's car and she loves it but we can't operate it due to the safety hazard. I searched this issue and have found many other Nissan Murano owners that have experienced the same issue. This is a serious safety issue Nissan should have addressed with their vehicles and with ours. My wife could have been placed in a dangerous position if I had not discovered this in time. Nissan should repair and or recall the affected vehicles to avoid possible serious bodily injury due to a loss of control created by this issue.

My drivers side door is locked. I started my car, drive off and it auto locks at a certain speed. When I stopped I was unable to unlock the door. I was forced to climb out the passenger side. The car had a manual key lock, this also failed, it will lock the other doors but will not unlock any of them. It failed and there is no manual way to open the door. This is a major safety issue, if I was involved in an accident I would have been trapped in the car. I approached Nissan. They laughed it off and say my car is out of warranty so I must pay to repair this. I understand that, but this is not a broken light or a leaking fuel tank, this failure is a major fail in keeping me safe in my vehicle. When I took it to the dealer for repair they gave me an estimate based on a similar case they had a few weeks before, and I read numerous reports from others owners of vehicles on the internet.

Vehicle has a constant ringing or buzzing sound coming from the rear bumper whether car is on or off constant ringing seem to appear when I'm washing the vehicle and the temperature is low.
The rear chassis severely rusted through causing the rear lower control arm to break off causing the wheel to severely sit at an off-angle. Rendering the car inoperable and cannot be driven for fear of tires flying off. Purchased at $6000 w/84,000 mile car now has only 113,000 miles. The car body and the interior is in excellent condition. Son rarely used the car while at college as he lived on campus. Now he has no car as the car is dangerous and inoperable. Seen a large number of rusted complaints online regarding Nissan and it needs to be recalled and fixed. He had the car only 3 yrs.

Ther rear sway bar broke on my way home from work one day on the highway and when I looked under the vehicle to see what it was, the entire underbody is rotted out to include the subframe. This is not an isolated incident with this model vehicle. The vehicle is no longer safe to drive.
Front sunroof shattered spontaneously. A rock did not hit it. The 10,000 pieces are so tiny that they didn't show up in the photo I took. They are still in place in the roof of my car. I have ordered a replacement glass and I hope the local glass man is able to replace it.

I rented this vehicle from enterprise and while driving on old country road in westbury, new york, all of a sudden smoke filled the car and my foot felt really hot like it was on fire. This occurred suddenly without any warnings, causing me to lose visibility and crash into another vehicle and ultimately a tree. I lost consciousness.

Was driving 50km/h with my grandson in the car on a side street when we heard a loud bang and then something dragging on the ground, I pulled over and got out to find the control arm had broken the subframe and hit the ground. Thankfully my self and my grandson were ok and the compressed spring for the rear suspension did not come out of its holder.

I have a 2007 Nissan Murano se, garage kept in southern PA. While the vehicle was being driven the rear frame of the vehicle rusted completely through resulting in a life threatening condition. The car is not derivable, was towed to a mechanic who informed us that the repair estimate would be over $3,000. I see many such reports but can find no evidence of a recall by Nissan.
My vehicle's door lock will not unlock manually. If the auto locks stop working this shouldn't stop me from unlocking my vehicle manually. My original incident with this issue was with me in the vehicle. I was stuck in my truck. I had to climb over to the passenger side and get out that way. My second incident with this was all of my locks didn't work with the fob or with my key (mannually). Thankfully, I was not inside this time. I had to call roadside assistance. This is a real safety issue. During all of these incidents, my vehicle was stationary.

I have had my 2014 Nissan Murano since new. It has been well taken care off the entire time, yet I continue to have issues with the door locks breaking. The result of this breaking is the the doors cannot be electronically unlocked even from the interior upon trying to do so. This is of concern as if there was ever an accident it which I needed to be rapidly pulled from my vehicle, a rescuer would have to force their way in delaying rescue. The most recent instance of these breaking (07/19/2019) is the 6th occurrence of this part breaking. The repair has been completed at the same dealership each time (pinnacle Nissan, scottsdale az). It is very clear that there is a defect part at play and that Nissan knows about this and continues to put these defects parts in vehicles endangering peoples lives during a potential rescue. I had reported this during the last instance with no reply. I hope this matter is reviewed and a resolution met before someone suffers as a result of this defect.
I own a 2007 Nissan Murano sl awd. I have taken the vehicle to my local Nissan dealer for almost all of the service to my car. I took the car to another local mechanic to verify the need for lower front control arms. The Nissan dealer quoted ~ $900 for this service. To my surprise, my 2nd mechanic; who I have done business with for years, tells me that I don't need control arms but a new sub frame. The rear subframe on the Murano is completely rusted. It is almost to the point where the rear axle can collapse. I did a search and discovered there are numerous Nissan Murano and quest owners that have this problem. This is a major safety issue. Nissan has to have known about this. But what really bothers me the most is that my local Nissan dealer did not mention this to me. My car has been in that shop dozens of times over the years. It is there for state inspection every year. . . . . . . . . . . . And no one noticed.
Told of a report on "car fax" that my air bag had been deployed (not true!). Does your organization track such information? this affects the value of the car damage was only a dented bumper.
Tl the contact owns a 2007 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that the rear tires were worn out. While the tires were being replaced by an independent mechanic, the contact was informed that the entire subframe of the vehicle was rusted out and the vehicle should not be driven again. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 154,615.
My 2010 Murano suddenly developed a loose driver's interior sun visor that has became progressively worse. It will not stay in the "up" position and will drop down to the point where it blocks my view out the windshield while driving. From discussions at various Nissan online sites, I have found that many other owners have experienced the same problem for one or both visors. Something inside the visor itself breaks and the visor will no longer stay where one sets it. I have had mine suddenly fall down unexpectedly while driving or especially going over a bump, road vibrations or small pothole etc. And it will not stay up, so suddenly without warning my view of the road and traffic in front of me is blocked. Very dangerous situation.

My college age daughter was driving home from college and heard a noise under the car. It is a miracle she made the 4 hour drive without a serious accident. We immediately had the car inspected by a local garage with an excellent reputation. They called me back to the repair bay and told me the main rear subframe or rear cradle had rusted completely in half. The car has 111,000 miles in it and has been well maintained. The engine and interior are in perfect condition and should provide many more years of service. The car is unsafe to drive and the local repair shops are unwilling to make repairs because of the risk of bolts breaking off in the unibody frame. There are many many reports of this online and Nissan refuses to fix the situation after calling and working through their phone process. This is a consumer life safety problem on par with stuck accelerators. The government needs to step in and protect the citizens. Apparently there is either a design or steel quality issue as others describe on the internet. Nissan wouldn't even offer to fix the car. Selling these to others just passes risk to other unsuspecting people. Something must be done. As it stands the vehicle it a total loss of thousands of dollars with Nissan turning a blind eye due to costs.

The drivers seat is very wobbly is not stable. Engine is making a noise unsure on how to describe and I believe there's undercarriage rusting and the car is getting wet inside when it rains.
