While driving vehicle lost power, when trying to accelerate no power and noticed drop in rpm. Also battery and brake lights flickering. Was able to get car home however a week later with my children in the car it happened again only this time it completely died, after having it towed home, after jump start vehicle started right up without hesitation, and ran fine. System checks good and battery is new less than 60 days. Very dangerous as there is not warning to sudden loss of power and stalling. Vehicle lights radiio etc all still work but vehicle won't start. Nissan recalled earlier models alternator for same symptoms however not my vehicle year. Same set up location as the 03-07 models same problems just no recall on 09 models. Car has power lights radio etc just looses ability to accelerate and if engine stalls then requires boosting to be started again. Runs fine after no warning lights and then without warning happens again.

Car won't start. Taken to dealership four times in one month and continues to have issues. Originally told it was the ipdm module which was replaced. About a week and half later the engine wouldn't start again but the dashboard lights, radio and heat/air wouldn't shut off. Was told this time that it was a faulty battery which was replaced. After picking it up and driving less than 10 miles and sitting for a few hours it wouldn't start again. Every single light on the dashboard is on and again the engine won't start or cut off the lights. Had it towed back to the dealership and 4 days later was told that it was due to a rusty bolt of some sort that was loose and needed to be replaced. 2 days later it wouldn't start again. A few hours later the car starts but the check engine light is on. Car was towed to dealership again and it has now been four days with no updates from the dealership. Also - drivers side sunvisor is broken and won't stay up which impairs vision. After all of these trips to the dealership they said it would cost over $200 to fix. I didn't think much of it until I reviewed and noticed that many other have the same issue with the sun visors so this is not an isolated incident.

Rattling / vibrating noises interior left door / vent / dash at elevated temperatures. Nissan is aware of defective parts. 4 attempts were made to repair it and the problem still persists at external temperature above 90 degrees (florida summer). The noises occur while driving around 45 mph and are a major disatraction and safety issue. Driving in city streets. The noise is intermittent and according to the dealer Nissan has previously issued an advisory (to dealers) with a fix. The "rubber band type fix" is temporary and the noises keep on occurring, intermittently after it is parked in open area for 1-2 hours and car is driven on city streets at around 45 mph. The noises are distraction and is a safety hazard. Nissan attempted fixing it 3 times, at first dismissed it stating cannot duplicate. Similar interior noises occur intermittently on the right side door and dash while drive at similar speeds. The external temperatures are above 90 and the ac is on at 72-75 degrees. I have video tape on iphone recording the sound, the file is too big to email or transfer to my laptop (I haven't figured it out as yet). It first happened in August 2017 and has continued. The problem gets worse with increasing external temperature. Work orders contains personal information and therefore not attached.

Sun visa keep falling down. It is very dangerous. Every mile it drops down at least 10 times. I have to tape it. Also it can not keep in the up location when I use it to block sun. It should be a recall since it is very dangerous and so many people report this problem.

The bluetooth radio system malfunctioned during the first year and dealer services were not knowledgable about the defect until 3 years out. Digital symbols for air/heat sometimes not visable and radio not functioning. Driver's side sun visor fell from the roof and I was able to reinsert. But, difficult to lower/raise. Dealer wants hundreds to replace (no repair possible). Wipers scrape/rub the glass too closely as though too large/tight. Makes terrible scraping sound and clicking noise when in use, although new. All issues occur whether vehicle is in motion or not.

Volume in vehicle randomly turns to blaring loud without even touching the volume control. This has happened multiple times and continues to be an issue. I do not have the function turned on that makes the volume increase as speed increases. This has happened while the car is sitting in my driveway. It is scary and distracting during driving. Also, the dash control for the volume and hvac don't work properly, as one click can turn either up 5 or 6 notches, also leading to blaring radio and/or high/low temperatures/fan. There are many cases of this that I have seen from other Nissan owners posted on the internet.

Three separate incidents of cd-changer/player failure, each time unit was replaced with a "new" one. Two failures of rear cup holder. One failure of vehicle alternator at approximately 19,000 miles. Most recent failure was the ipdm control module at approximately 20,000 miles. Mysterious ongoing transmission hesitation, cause unknown.

I have a Nissan Murano 2003 & have had the following problems with it. I was on an online forum & there was a link to this site to list the problems I have had with this vehicle. My car was purchased in Jan. 2003. Since then I have had the following problems: defective alternator defective bose cd player defective battery defective cupholder all the items were fixed or replaced by Nissan under warranty. However I have read that many people have had problems with their alternators but have not reported to a governent agency.
Very poor radio reception from day one on 2003 Nissan Murano. Canot receive low power fm stations. This very annoying after repeated complaints, no one has a fix. I cannot even get an antenna booster.
