Aug 2019 at 61k miles cvt transmission went out. Fought with Nissan to repair of which they replaced. Now, Aug 2020 at 69k, car feels like it goes over 'rumble strips' when coming out of a tight turn (I. E. Backing out of driveway or parking spot). Nissan north cannot find or fix issue. No idea what to do but feel safety can be compromised due to vehicle history. Independent mechanic did state I have a transmission fluid leak. He is further investigating issue but no repair has been made.

My cvt transmission began to have a seal leak at 140,000 miles causing a loud squeal while the transmission fluid built up pressure. This car was well maintained. It's unfortunate that Nissan doesn't provide replacement parts for their transmissions. It's a sealed unit so you have to replace the entire transmission for $3500 to $4800. Only got $2k on trade in for a new vehicle. I hope Nissan recalls the transmission so others won't lose money on this costly repair.

Difficulty with the power steering. Checked fluid levels and none is leaking. My car is part of recall but my VIN is not associated. Can I still have my car checked? where does this need to be done?.

Difficulty with gear shift moving out of park into drive, neutral or reverse. Problem occurs with cold engine and warm engine, always from stationary position. Makes a low sounding clunk after finally moving into gear. Resistance of gear shift to move is not consistent but is frequent (about 7 out of every 10 driving events or 70% of the time) no fluid leakage under vehicle has been observed. Problem has existed with car within months of purchase as new vehicle.

Realized power steering hose (pump) is leaking fluid, despite having very low mileage. This is a hazard as it could ignite and/or cause driver to lose control of the vehicle.

I noticed power steering fluid on the concrete under my vehicle. A mechanic told me my hose was leaking and I found out it cost about $500. 00 to fix. I checked with Nissan dealer to see if there was a recall. He told me no. There should be a recall on this problem because it is dangerous. The fluid is all underneath my vehicle. The fluid could ignite by hitting the exhaust pipe or anything hot.
My 06 Murano sl began to lose pressure on the gas pedal and stall. At first it felt like someone had bumped into me, but after noticing that the car behind me had not. I tried to move on with the traffic. I put on my hazards and came to a complete stop but was not able to accelerate by using the gas pedal. Then my vehicle began to drive on its own lucky for me the traffic in front of me began to move. The vehicle came to a complete stop in the middle of the highway while I tried to move over to the emergency lane. I place the vehicle in park and then in drive. When I pressed on the gas pedal it would not move once again even when pressing the pedal to the floor. I tried to move the vehicle while in the lower gear and second gear just to get out the middle of the highway and it still would not move. Then out of know where it began to drive on its own again without me pressing on the gas pedal. That allowed me to make it over to the emergency lane. Again lucky for me I was able to make my way through the stand still traffic. Once in the emergency lane the vehicle stopped. I put it in park then pressed on the gas pedal and the engine would rev up. Then I thought ok it will move now, but then the vehicle began to drive itself in reverse while in the drive position. I called my motor club and had to have the vehicle towed to the dealership. The technician stated that two of my transmission hoses blew and the vehicle lost all its fluid and it would cost me $711 to fix this problem not including any damage to the transmission. Now the dealership is trying to say that I have a leak at my engine rubber o ring. At the time of the incident my vehicle has 82k miles. Although I have quite a few miles on my vehicle I have maintained all of my required maintenance as scheduled. Something should be done about the vehicle stalling and driving on its own. I had no warning. This is a very dangerous situation not having control over the vehicle.
