In the last 4 years I've replaced emissions system brakes rotors air conditioning system exhaust system radiator and transmission. Car was vibrating shaking cutting out leaking exhaust fumes and emissions system failed.
The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. While driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle vibrated roughly. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission and the radiator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 111,000.
Engine coolant leaked into transmission causing irreparable damage; requires both the radiator and transmission be replaced. This problem was noticed while driving. The car shudders and there is a heavy vibration while accelerating/shifting. This is a concern as the transmission failure may result in unsafe operation of this vehicle.
Vehicle began to shudder and shift hard. Then it lost almost all power. Limped home in the dark not knowing if I could get home. Very scary situation. I was lucky that the weather was not severe (excessive heat or cold) as this could have been very dangerous. With children in the car, in a remote area and from what I now understand , the transmission could have actually caught fire, this has the potential to be a real disaster! please review this situation, Nissan needs to be held accountable before someone gets killed!.
As I was driving on a motor way, the car just start shaking and stopped in the middle of the road without prior warning from the dashboard. A message "service soon" started display on the dashboard. This seems like a transmission failure. I couldn't move the car from that spot on the motor way. I had the car towed to the mechanic and he diagnose the car and couldn't find any fault on the car. I am scare to drive the car and the car is still at the auto mechanic shop not know what the problem.
There is is problem with this model vehicle. Thousands of people are having the same problem. The radiator has a leak in it causing the transmission oil to mix with the radiator coolant creating a mixture of gravy type substance. The transmission and the radiator are filled up with this substance. The engine is not being cooled down. The vehicle starts to vibrate after a certain speed. When you pop up the hood it smells like plastic burning.
The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that the vehicle vibrated and the gears made a grinding noise while shifting. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was found that the radiator had fractured and caused coolant to mix with the transmission fluid. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 84,000.
The vehicle began to shudder badly and lose power. Thought smoke was coming from the undercarriage of my vehicle, but it was spraying transmission fluid. Pulled off of the interstate and called a towtruck. Had my five year old daughter in the back seat. Scared us both. No one injured but could have been in heavier traffic. Found out today that it's a common problem with these cars.
The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that when driving at any speed the vehicle would shake abnormally. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to have a diagnostic performed but the contact believed that the transmission was defective. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 117,000 and the current mileage was 118,000.
The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle started shaking violently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the radiator was leaking coolant in the transmission, which caused it to be defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The VIN was not available and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 61,000.
My 2005 Nissan Pathfinder with 55,000 miles. I notice a vibration under the vehicle which would last for 2-3 seconds everytime I would drive it. I thought nothing about it, until it got worst. Now the vehicle stalls and vibrates more frequently while traveling on highways and major roads. I went on-line to research the problem and discovered the cause was from a leak from the radiator into the transmission and caused the slippage and the vibrations. Thousands of other people who own a Nissan Pathfinder had similar problems and have gone to the Nissan dealership and complained about the issue, as I had. The only thing Nissan will do is replace those parts, but we the consumer will have to pay for it, although it is clearly a manufacturer issue in relation to Nissan using inferior quality of parts. It will cost me $5,600 for parts and labor to fix a Nissan problem.
I own a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder le, it currently has 64,000 miles, at approx. 58,000 miles I notice excessive vibration thru out the vehicle at about 74mph, I took the vehicle to have the tires balanced and rotated but this did not fix the problem, took the vehicle to Nissan who told me they could not duplicate the problem but I should keep an eye on it, when it was time for my oil change I told them the problem still exists and again they could not find a problem so they re-balance the tires which did not change anything. I did some research online only to find out that there are hundreds of threads regarding this incident were the radiator coolant line leaks into the transmission and causing damage to the transmission, it is a known issue leading to the replacement of the radiator and transmission, car shakes tremendously as if it were falling apart, how can there be so many complaints and yet Nissan does nothing to fix it, extended warranties cover transmission damage but your still left with a $1000. 00 bill for the radiator.
The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph, the vehicle vibrated. The contact stated that the vehicle speed was reduced to 20 mph and the vehicle came to a halt. The failure occurred on two separate occasions. The vehicle was towed to a private mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission and radiator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 98,000 and the current mileage 144,000.
Tl- contact owns a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 45 mph, the vehicle began to vibrate. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership for a diagnostic test where the contact was informed that the radiator coolant was leaking into the transmission; both the transmission and radiator needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The current and failure mileages were approximately 90,000.
Vehicle shutters and shakes in overdrive at @ 40/45 mph and does not properly engage gears during operation of vehicle. The transmission fails during normal navigation through traffic. Confirmed factory defective radiator leaked coolant into transmission causing ruined transmission.
My 2005 Nissan Pathfinder has a faulty radiator which leaks back into the transmission. The vehicle has less than 60,000 miles and the dealer says Nissan will not cover the transmission damage. On emonds. Com there are hundreds of complaints for the same exact complaint from other owners. The problem causes the vehicle to shake at highway speeds.
2005 Nissan Pathfinder transmission is slipping and car shakes violently while driving on the highway at about 60-70mph. I've contacted Nissan consumer affairs about this problem but they are refusing to repair it due to not spending enough money at their dealerships and due to the high mileage(problem started around 90k, currently about 110k) of my vehicle.
