Airbag light blinking on instrument panel and passenger seat airbag light on. Nissan of bowie in maryland wants to charge me over $2474. 56 to trim, seat cushion front. Vehicle failure 11/04/2020 at 90,090 miles. Op code bs119.
The airbag light came out flashing take to the mechanic nothing error with the vehicle.
Took car to dealer for airbag light and diagnostic says airbag sensor on passenger seat. Cost of $2,000 to replace. Many reports of the same and dealer says no recalls for this.
As of yesterday (9/3/2020) my 2009 Nissan Rogue with 101,000 miles has her passenger side, airbag light flashing on the dash and the console airbag light on. My research shows the airbag sensor to have been a recall on '08 and '10 Rogues, but not '09. (the TSB no. Is 08-095d. ) this makes zero sense to me, it is an extreme danger to me and my family, and unacceptable. When the light came on the car had been parked for about 1 hour, prior it had been driven about 8 miles from its parking spot. It has since been parked and turned on again after 12 hrs, lights are still on and blinking on the dash. Please recall this vehicle for recall of this faulty equipment. Death is not an option for this correctable problem.
The airbag sensor is defective in the 2009 Nissan Rogue just like the 2008 and 2010 Rogue. The airbag weight sensor in the passenger seat stays on disabling the passenger airbag to whom even sits there. It also leaves a flashing airbag light in the dashboard. Nissan is ware of the problem and makes you pay them to diagnose the problem at an hourly rate then charge you over $2000 to replace the seat like they did for the 2008 and 2010 models in a recall. The parts are the same in the 2009 model.
Passenger side airbag light stays on. Reset by dealer, and back on within a day or two. Dealer now says they have traced this back to a faulty sensor in the seat cushion, and the cost of the part alone is over $2000. 00 this is a major safety issue, there a numerous complaints on here for various years of Rogues. And that is just from the people who have taken the time to voice concern.
Tl the contact owns a 2009 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the driver's side air bag was illuminated. The contact reset the warning indicator, but the failure recurred two weeks later. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 62,000.
Tl the contact owns a 2009 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired and the failure recurred. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags, electrical system); however, the manufacturer stated that the VIN was not included in a recall. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 151,600.
Air bag failure - the airbag sensor in the passenger seat failed which caused the entire airbag system to not work (as noted by the flashing airbag light on the dash as well as the secondary airbag light constantly on near the gear shifter). This is a safety issue and concern. This particular year of the Nissan Rogue was not part of a recall (2008 and 2010 were included in a recall for the exact same issue). As a result, in order for the airbag system to work and to remain safe in the car when driving, it requires a new passenger seat cushion. This repair costs greater than $2000 (part and labor).
Takata recall air bag light is on for the passanger side and it wont turn off. The dealership wants to charge $2000. This should be a recall from the looks of it many of these vehicles are having the same issue. I feel unsafe driving my vehicle at this time.
When I purchase this vehicle on may 7, 2019 I noticed the right air bag lights stays on the dash board while driving the vehicle. Just starting the car the air bag light comes up on the dashboard.
The air bag light comes on . Vehicle was service at balise Nissan dealership to try to figure out what the problem was and see if they can fix it . All they did was reset the light and once we drove off dealership parking lot the light came back on like 10 min after .
Vehicle stationary. . Started the vehicle airbag light flashing. . Passenger airbag status light show off even when some is sitting in the seat. Vehicle taken to dealership where tech report passenger airbag senor not working. . . Dealership repair $3100. . .
Passenger airbag light came on after my 8 year old was seating in the front seat while car was parked. Scan code b1018 occupant sensor malfunctioned. Called Nissan which noted that its a known issue with the 2008 Rogue models and still has a recall campaign for that year but my 2009 model is not included. But ironically the same exact issue exist with both model and fixing the issue will cost me $1000. There numerous complaints on the same issue for Nissan Rogue models 2008 - 2010 but Nissan is taking no action especially with a major airbag safety issue like so.
Started the vehicle one day and the airbag light on the dashboard was on. The passenger airbag indicator was also on, which indicates that said airbag is disabled but there was no one in the seat. Looking up the dashboard's airbag light flashing sequence in the service manual (one long blink followed by five quick blinks), the problem stems from the occupant classification system sensor that is embedded in the passenger seat bucket. Research shows that this is a safety component which has been in other service bulletins for various Nissan vehicles. For the Rogue, the recall campaign bulletin ntb-095d covers this exact issue but only for 2008 units. Forum posts by owners appear to indicate that many others have had this issue for vehicles not covered in said bulletin. The cost to replace the seat is around $2,000, since Nissan can not replace the sensor itself. This is cost prohibitive considering that the vehicle has not been in an accident. It presents failure on the vehicle's safety system, which contrary to mechanical systems is subject to minimal wear (if any), significantly reducing the vehicles usability unless the owner is willing to take the unnecessary risk of using it in the mean time.
The air bag indicator light blinks on the instrument panel and the passenger airbag indicator light (near the gear shifter) stays on all the time. The Nissan customer forums indicate this is a significant problem with the OCS airbag sensor located in the passenger seat. Nissan has not recalled this vehicle to correct this safety issue. Nissan refers owners to the local dealer's service center to have it replaced at the owner's expense.

Takata recall. Air bag light stays on all the time. Brought to dealer. Charged me $160 to tell me of a sensor pad malfunction and entire passenger seat would need to be replaced due to failure of srs system that would cost approx 1,900. I understand 2008 and 2010 models were recalled for this problem but not 2009. Why not??.
'takata recall". I got into may 2009 Nissan Rogue when all sudden my airbag light indicated airbag had been inflated. Light indicator shows steering wheel inflated. I called Nissan 1-800 was told to call local dealer who sold me car. Called world car Nissan and person was very rude when asked if it was dangerous to drive or if there was a recall on the airbag. I'm very concerned it may inflate without notice or may not work if needed. This is obviously a problem as I read the 2008 airbags were recalled for same issue.
My 2009 Rogue air bag light came on and I took it to the dealership. They said it would be $2200 to fix and that if I was in a wreck the air bags may or may not work. I'm seeing a lot of people have this issue and it's a huge safety concern that Nissan needs to address. I will never buy another Nissan. The sensor that need to be replaced is in the car seat. Why was it designed like that??? stupid!.

Airbag light flashing.
My passenger airbag light came on, dealer told me it was a bad sensor and needed to be replaced and it would cost at least $1,200. I am the original owner and when it is something that concerns safety, Nissan should make due to it's promise and do the repairs for the customer.
The contact owns a 2009 Nissan Rogue. Upon starting the vehicle and while driving various speeds, the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact mentioned that she recently purchased the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 59,000.
Driver and passenger air bag lights are flashing. . First noticed the problem while driving on surface street last month. Have not had any problems with vehicle prior to this incident. Have not taken car to dealer yet.
This is to report the constant flashing airbag warning signal on the panel of my vehicle. Now the signal has advanced to include a person with a balloon bag in a sitting position. I have just over 60,000 miles but the airbag light has been coming on but not going off now it's constant. I contacted Nissan service to report the problem and asked if it could be looked at as a recall item. I was told that it was not a recall problem and I will need to pay $128 for a diagnosis test. Of course I'm not paying for a problem that is known to be defected. I'm still waiting on a service manager to call me regarding their response. In reading all the other airbag problems someone needs to check into this serious matter that may cause harm. This occurs no matter where the vehicle is the light comes on and will not go out when driving.
" takata recall"-my passenger air bag light went on and then the airbag light on the dashboard. I went to the dealer and they charged me to tell me I have defective airbags. I was told they are not under any warranty or recall. I juts bought the car used from Nissan in Feb 2015. They are saying I have to start with replacing my passenger seat and that will be$1,900 and there is no guarantee that the repair will stop there. I was told that none of the airbags will function until this is repaired.
Passenger air bag sensor has failed. Air bag light blinks. Sensor is in seat. Cvt transmissions fail without warning. Research indicates this occurs at highway speeds and causes a hazard in traveled lanes.

After removing a briefcase from the passenger front seat, the airbag light on the dashboard stays on (flashes). It never goes off when the car is stationary or in motion.
The passenger side airbag indicator keeps on and the airbag light on the dashboard is flashing. We started noticing the issue in year 2015 and this has never been fixed. We hoped Nissan can fix the same issue as they recalled 2008 Nissan Rogue (08-095d).
The passenger side air bag light will not turn off when a passenger is in the seat. The dash board air bag indicator also stays on.
My air bag light continues to blink indicating something wrong with my passenger side air bag. I was told that due to this problem, the passenger seat needed to be replaced. An expensive repair. Recall reference #ntb08-095c specifically addresses this problem. However, my vehicle was is included in the recall. I feel that my Nissan Rogue 2009 ( produced in Jan 2009) and the air bag manufactured by takata, should be included in the recall and repaired. This is a problem, with numerous people also posting about it. Thanks in advance for your attention to this matter.
