1 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 03/23/2021

The airbag warning lamp turned on out of nowhere when I started my car. . Just a regular day. . Seems to be an issue with the sensor and there is an active recall for 08 and 14 models with the same issue. . However the Nissan dealer told me that they get a lot of clients with this issue for 09 models.

2 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Airbags passenger wont work because of faulty sensor in passenger seat.

3 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2020

Passenger air bag sensor fails resulting in no air bag deployed if accident was to occur. This occurred in other models of Nissan Rogue 2008, 2010 have both been recalled for this same issue. 2009 model has not been recalled for this issue yet, there are multiple complaints pertaining to this same year model for same issue. No accident occurred this was noted on routine safety check for state inspection is not covered by Nissan and cost over 2000$ to fix.

4 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2019

I have the srs light constantly on and was diagnosed that the occupant seat sensor is bad and need replacement. This device stop the passenger seat air bag from deploying even if there is an occupant, so they are at risk. Don't understand why users need to pay out of pocket for a safety device that should work. 2008 Nissan Rogue was recalled, so why other year aren't if the problem is not solved.

5 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 05/07/2019

Takata recall upon start up of the vehicle, the airbag sensor light is now flashing on the drivers instrument panel and will not shut off. Dealer has informed me it will cost approximately $2000. 00 for the repair. Vehicle is now rendered unsafe with disabled airbags.

6 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 04/11/2019

My 2009 Nissan Rogue is pulling a code for the occupancy-classification sensor fail. This is the same fail that has been recalled on several Nissan models. The fix, I'm told is a new seat. This is obviously excessive and not reasonable given the history of Nissan and the OCS sensor failures on their vehicles.

7 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 10/05/2016

Approx. 63000 air bag sensor light came on. Passenger air bags not working vehicle stationary, nisson will do nothing, although 2008 were recalled, many similar complaints have been reported.

8 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2011

I am 5'1" and approx 105 lbs. When I or a friend (under 110 lbs) sits in the front passenger seat the passenger airbag off light goes on. I have taken it in to the dealer several times for this issue. Last time they replaced the seat and airbag sensor. The problem persists. I took it in again today and was told that there was nothing mechanically wrong/malfunctioning just that the seat and sensors are designed to turn the airbag off if an adult weighs under 110 lbs. In the event of an accident, if I or a friend (whos isunder 110 lbs) is in the passenger seat we will not be protected by the airbag. I am frusterated. Why was I leased a vehichle that is not safe? I previously had a murano and did not have this problem. I have looked at current muranos and do not have this problem. It only occurs with the Rogue.

9 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2009

The contact owns a 2009 Nissan Rogue. Whenever the contact sits in the front passenger seat while sitting on a 2 inch thick cushion the airbag sensor will deactivate shutting power off in the passenger side airbag. However, when the contact sits in the seat without the cushion the airbag sensor works correctly. The vehicle was taken to the dealership where the contact was informed that the sensor was working properly. The contact has noticed the failure since the day the vehicle was purchased. The current and failure mileages were 7756. Updated 3/4/2010 updated 05/20/10.
