While driving approximately 40 mph , lost power to the vehicle. No lights no warnings. The gas pedal pushed all the way to the floor and wouldn’t go , lost power steering and all. Coasted into a parking lot where my dash then gave the rab light and a oil light , not due for a oil change , and still won’t turn on.

While driving, multiple warning lights appeared on the dashboard, including the check engine light, malfunction indicator, and crash sensor warnings. A message then displayed: “engine malfunction power reduced service now. ” the engine began making loud knocking noises, lost power, and the vehicle entered reduced-power mode. The issue appears to be related to the ongoing engine bearing failure recall (r25a8 / 25v-437) affecting Nissan vehicles with vc-turbo engines. Because of these symptoms and the risk of complete engine failure or loss of motive power, the vehicle became unsafe to drive and was parked. The problem poses a serious safety risk, as the loss of power occurred suddenly while the vehicle was in motion, which could cause an accident if it happens in traffic. The problem has not yet been repaired because the manufacturer has not released the full recall remedy. I called the Nissan dealership in greeneville TN, at 8:53 am est on 11/08/2025 the vehicle is currently parked at my residence. I was advised by the dealership to call back on Monday morning to schedule an inspection at a Nissan dealership. Warning lights and the “engine malfunction power reduced” message first appeared shortly before the loud knocking began and power loss occurred on the vehicle.

On Saturday, while driving my 2023 Nissan Rogue (currently under recall) down the highway, the vehicle suddenly lost all acceleration. At the same time, every warning light illuminated on the dashboard. This occurred without any prior warning, forcing me to quickly and unsafely maneuver to the shoulder of the road while traffic was moving at high speeds. Component or system that failed: powertrain/engine/acceleration system (vehicle is available for inspection upon request). Safety risk: my safety and the safety of others were at risk because the sudden loss of acceleration occurred in the middle of highway driving, creating a dangerous situation where I could have been struck by oncoming vehicles. Reproduction/confirmation: unknown. The incident has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Inspection status: the vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. Warning lamps or prior symptoms: all warning lamps illuminated at the time of failure. There were no prior warning messages or symptoms before this incident occurred.

I had the service malfunction turn on while driving on the express way and the collision sensors turn on and my steering wheel locked while driving almost causing a huge accident on the expressway.
I purchased a brand new 2025 Nissan Rogue on June 4, 2025, with the expectation that its propilot and safety assist features would function reliably under normal driving conditions. However, just three days after purchase, a warning light began appearing that reads: “warning: driving aids temporarily limited. ” this message occurs randomly and under regular driving conditions, without provocation, and causes the propilot/safety assist systems to disable themselves entirely. At the time this first occurred, the vehicle had only been driven a few miles and had been kept in clean, well-maintained condition. I contacted the dealership immediately and scheduled a service appointment for June 16, 2025. In the days leading up to that appointment, the issue continued to occur unpredictably, making the driving experience both frustrating and unsafe. The vehicle has now been in the dealership’s possession for multiple days (as of June 18, 2025), and no resolution has been found. The technicians have not been able to diagnose or correct the issue, and I have been left without a functioning vehicle. This problem was not disclosed prior to purchase, and the repeated system failure of essential safety features is unacceptable, especially on a brand new car. The inclusion of advanced driver assistance was a primary factor in my decision to purchase this vehicle. Having these systems work only intermittently presents a significant safety risk to myself and others on the road, and undermines the integrity of the vehicle's advertised capabilities. I am filing this formal complaint to document the issue and request prompt action and resolution from Nissan consumer affairs and NHTSA.
The ok button on the steering wheel collapsed in causing the dash menus to choose random settings and turn them on or off. In the dash selection, controlled with this, is the crash detection on the vehicle, causing the menu to cycle through and turn off and on these settings also. There’s blind spot, alarms, lane departure, driver assistance, and backup sensors. There’s vehicle’s safety features are controlled in the dash menus. The cruise control button is also sticking resulting in the cars speed to change whenever. This is a known issue with Nissan but still refuse to do anything about it after the bumper to bumper warranty period is over, even though it includes safety features. They also want us to pay $170 dollars just for them to say “yes the bottons are broken. ” several forums have confirmed this is a problem that Nissan is well aware of. Someone mentioned their 2023 went through 3 steering wheels because of this issue and it was within the warranty period, so Nissan replaced the steering wheels (you can’t just replace the button modules).
I was backing out of my parking spot at work and backed into a car. My backup safety sensor’s did not work. No warning I was near anything. It should have stopped me from hitting anything especially another car. The backup camera has had times of not working.

These warning lights always come up-daily. No matter if it is hot or cold out. I am worried that they will not work if/when I actually needed them to. I am scheduling an appointment with Nissan. Nothing has been looked at on it besides my normal oil change/check ups. I have a 7 month old and it scares me that I am not in a safe vehicle.
I was pulling into a parking space with my foot on the brake going about 2 mph. About 4 feet from a pole the engine raced and the car slammed into the pole. The airbags did not deploy. I was the only person in the car and my foot was still on the bake after the collision I asked Nissan to investigate and they said I would have to wait to get the car fixed for two months and store and tow it at my own expense. It was already being repaired and my insurance company will only pay for a rental for 50 days.
While driving in the rain on July 11, 2023 and for the first time I encountered rain dropping into the inside of my vehicle from several different places in the front windshield of my vehicle. The rain was falling profusely onto the gearshift area which caused me to multitask and try to cover the area to prevent any damage. I was able to get off the expressway and make it to the gas station where I took several pictures and videos. There were no warning lights or signs on my vehicle. There was an additional issue earlier this year when my car would not accelerate over 35-40 mph and when it did the car would shake badly. The car would just randomn make loud sounds and force a hard push before the accelerations. I took it to a Nissan dealership to find out the transmission had to be replaced. While driving the vehicle it steers toward the right. I also have noise from the bottom of the car and it appears there is something loose or dragging which causes making a left or right turn hard.

Front collision and rear collision components went out and have been replaced once already. These components are now failing again. The back up camera goes out in the middle of me backing out which could cause collision with another object or person. The front collision comes on while driving when there are no objects in front of me. All issues have been confirmed by the dealer and replaced once but now I have been waiting on parts to fix again and it has been over a month. Each time I take the vehicle in the parts are on back order. I have only owned the vehicle since October 31, 2022, so 7 months.
Radio control system which includes backup camera, stopped working. Manufacturer isn't providing replacement though they admit the part needs to be replaced.
Alarm would go off indicating something was behind vehicle and nothing was in way and many aes adas parking break warnings of malfunction appearing on dashboard.

This is Nissan Rogue, it's loaded with sensors, malfunction many times without warning, it had locked the brakes by itself in different times day and night, also pick up speed cameras as warning although this was fixed, while lasted was very annoying.
Car emergency braking system engaged to start car battery drained while parked, car will not start lights flicker then say malfunction refer to owners manual, shows the car have no back up warning no head on collision warnings and no reverse warning, car will not recognize key does not detect key, or say wrong key car battery immediately dies constantly. Could not get a reading .
My wife was driving her brand new Nissan Rogue 2020, she was headed to work and it was snowing. As she was driving down the road the automated emergency braking system literally slammed on the brakes at full force making her slip and go over a curb, my wife did not even touch the brakes all she had time to do was brace for the crash. If this would have happened on the highway I would not have a wife right now this happened on 01/27/2021. The collision system of the vehicle caused this due to what the vehicle itself is saying malfunction in the front and rear collision systems. She was scared to death the collision system is supposed to stop accidents not cause them. I have a claim number with Nissan as well for this 42975710. My vehicles rim is cracked, inner tie rods broke, the collision system will not let me drive the car as when I start moving it the brakes engage immediately its making a horrible shaking noise like its stalling and I can hear the brakes engaging and trying to actively stop the vehicle. I do not want my wife or anyone driving this car. This is super dangerous and I want those sensors either removed or Nissan will have to pay for my car so I can get a new one this could kill thousands of people if its not corrected. I have video and photo proof of this.
