The contact owns a 2000 Nissan Sentra. While driving approximately 23 mph or greater, the contact heard a loud grinding noise coming from the front end of the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and they stated that the failure was related to the attachment bolts from the front suspension. The vehicle has not been repaired. The contact was displeased to know that there was a recall, in which his VIN was excluded. He experienced the same failure that was mentioned in the recall. The recall number was 01v174000. Consumer received recall 01v174000 concerning lower control arm. While turning on to a residential street at 5 mph consumer heard a peculiar noise from the left front of the vehicle. Seconds later consumer lost control of the vehicle. A mechanic examined the vehicle and determined that the left lower control arm broke. This problem was suppose to have been fixed by a recent recall.
While driving about 30 mph and when turning brake caliper locked up, and consumer hit curve and drove over it. Consumer was comparing the situation with the recall 01 v 174 000. Had taken vehicle to dealer, but problem still there. Please provide more information. Ak.

Headrest will not stay in down position, it keeps rising up, blocking consumer's view oncoming traffic. Consumer feels this is very dangerous. Please provide any further information.
Driver contacted dealer about recall on lower control arm bolts. Dealer stated parts were not available.
While driving on wet pavement, vehicle went out of control, consumer states she barely kept from having an accident. Consumer received recall 01v174 and is experiencing unusual noise and rough driving, she feels this is related to the recall and was informed by a local garage that there was a problem.
Consumer received recall notice on replacing all attachment bolts for the front suspension, dealer did not honor recall, stating nothing was wrong with the vehicle.
