My front right strut failed for no apparent reason after only 5 months and 11,000 miles. There was no reason for the failure and the driving conditions were normal highway miles. This failure left the car very unstable and impossible to manuvere in an emergency situation. No crash occured because I started driving a rental car after the failure. The part was replaced under warranty and the dealer kept the old strut.
