3 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2011 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 01/19/2015

This morning, my car would not start. I used a battery charger pack, and it started. However, after driving 3 miles to the local auto zone car store to conduct a free battery and alternator test, the car stalled out. After using the battery pack to jump start it again, their batter/alternator check machine concluded that it was the alternator. It is 1/19/2015 and the car is a manual transmission 2011 Nissan Versa with 33,000 miles on it; there are no modifications on it. I am concerned that the alternator has stopped working after only 33,000 miles when the average lifespan of Nissan factory alternators tend to last to over 100,000 miles.

4 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2014 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 08/16/2014

I was going to pick up one of my kids and all the lights came on. The breaks, manual transmission, and the steering wheel did not work. I called the dealer and the pick it up and did a 24 point check up. The service agent told me on the phone that they called Nissan and they did a complete reset of the system. When I pick it up the service representative was no where to be found. I had some questions about what he told me, but he wasn't available. In my paper work all they put was that they did a 24 point check up and nothing was found. I hope this doesn't happen when I’m driving on the highway at 70 mph. I would like to get more information about this problem.

5 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2014 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 12/30/2013

Driving to ala. From GA. Had difficult time seeing out windows and windshield due to condensation building up inside on the drivers side, passenger side, and windshield. It was raining & diff in temp. , had to stop several times and wipe off with cloth towels. Went to dealership to get radio replaced and showed them the trunk was wet (carpet showed rings) and the right drivers door had big gap between the front of the car and door frame area - it is separating from the frame on both sides. The front doors on both sides are below the back doors and the gaps are increasing whenever I drive the car. Inside the windshield seal plastic has started to peel off twice. The wiper blades has been replaced three times because they just start to tear in small areas. All of this has been brought and seen by the service dept. Even when the moisture collects inside during a rain shower (defroster won't prevent this) . They have refused to fix the leak in the trunk or the doors. I am scared that one of the doors will fall off. The gap has increased in 6 weeks you can stand 2 ft. Away and see the screws. I can hardly lock the car (manually). No Nissan dealership will fix it within 120 miles. I do not know why. The manufacturer knows this and it is under warranty. Also, there is a awful smell when I start it within the system, but they said it was me not the car.

6 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2007 Nissan Versa

Failure Date: 11/01/2012

1) the reverse lights stopped working and replacing both bulbs did not fix the problem. The problem is electrical and costly to fix. 2) the front passenger window switch/motor stopped working in 2009 and costs $500 to repair so still broken. 3) the rear left passenger door will not always open from the outside with the remote unlock switch on my key 'fob', and sometimes the remote will not lock same door. The door not opening has nothing to do with the child safety switch on the inner door. Sometimes the same door cannot be opened from the inside with the child safety lock in the 'unlock' position and the door unlocked from within. It could become a 'trap' in an emergency situation. This is an on and off problem, and it happens quite frequently. It remains unaddressed. 4)the front exterior driver door handle came apart upon opening and is $500 to fix. 5) the rubber seals around 2 of the doors spontaneously came off and have to be manually re-attached regularly. 6) there is a flapping sound coming from the front driver wheel well area, and mechanics could not find the source of the sound.
