Purchased a 2016 Nissan Versa (brand new) car ran well until 11/18/19. When I left work, started car as usual and headed home. Passed a roundabout along with some freeway driving. While on roberts rd. At a traffic light (waiting for right away) car seemed fine, but once I applied the gas to cross the intersection on a green light. Nothing happened. All the dummy lights came on, radio and heat was still working but car shut down at rush hour. I could not move. I called for the police to help then had it towed to the Nissan dealership. I later found out that there was a technical service bulletin sent to dealers about this issue of cars stalling. Why was I not made aware and sold a lemon. I thank god that it did not happen on the freeway or roundabout. The dealer claimed they fixed the problem, but my hunch told me it's a lemon and not to keep it. I now own a 2020 Toyota corolla. I don't want anyone to go through what I went through, very scary. Fyi if you goggle Nissan cars stalling there is a news story from ktnv channel 13 out of nevada.

Nissan north America is recalling 14,595 vehicles, including the 2014 Nissan Versa sedan, because the engine may shut off unexpectedly while the vehicle is being driven, according to the national highway traffic safety administration. This has happened to me like 10 times. . . I was driving in city traffic and it wouldn't stay running. It kept turning off. I was afraid I had to much going on wil thepower like a power drain so I turned off my radio and lights and made it home.

I was merging from the lh to the rh lane on an intersection when my car was hit on the passenger side by an on-coming pick-up truck. At the time of the collision I was struck on the rh side of my head by the car's radio which was apparently dis-engaged from the car's instrument panel. I was the only passenger in my vehicle, was wearing my seat belt. The passenger side air bags deployed. My head injury was treated on-site by an ems unit and I was transferred to a local hospital where I was diagnosed with a concussion. On 8/13/2014 my car was transferred to my local Nissan dealer (where I purchased the vehicle) for inspection by my insurance company. At the dealership the radio issue was communicated by my husband to to the dealership collision manager, a dealership salesman and my insurance company adjustor. The adjustor and my husband took photos of the expelled radio that clearly demonstrated broken plastic assembly/latch tabs. The radio and photo was shown to the Nissan salesman. The comment from the dealership collision manager to my husband was "he sees this all the time with Nissans" as the radio is not bolted and can become disengaged when the instrument panel is compressed. My husband communicated this incident to Nissan north America consumer affairs (file number 15337234). On August 19, 2014 they responded "based on the available information and the mileage of the subject vehicle, Nissan north America, inc. Finds that an inspection of the vehicle is not necessary. " in my opinion this response is not a satisfactory answer to a potential design or manufacturing issue resulting in a serious safety hazard.

Nissan Versa 2007. Some times the car won't start with the intelligent key. The car sometimes locks automatically and other times it won't lock with the intelligent key, I am afraid the car will lock with my grandchild in it and I can't open the car. I used the horn and the radio came on. I have taken the car to the dealer several times and thy can not find anything wrong, but there certainly is.

I had purchased a new 2007 Versa from star Nissan on 9/22/07. A couple of days later, I found out the cd player was non-functional. A day or two later, I realized I was having problems starting the car. On 9/26, I brought the car in to see what the problem was. I was told on 9/27 that it had a faulty fuel pump and that the part they needed won't be available until 10/10/07. Obviously, it is unacceptable for me to be without my brand new car for a week and a half.
