Takata recall - pending parts availability for replacement. The driver's side airbag needs to be replaced however Nissan indicates the parts will not be available until first or second quarter of 2018. The manufacturer and the dealer have offered no assistance with a loaner. Nissan indicated we can submit an expense for a rental car, but there is no guarantee it will be reimbursed. This is completely unacceptable.

Awaiting repair of the takata passenger-side airbag, I noticed on the NHTSA website that Nissan had published a fix for the issue. I drove to my local dealership this morning to start the repair process but I'm told that there's no recall on my vehicle (despite proof that I'm in the first of three groups listed for dealers). So I'm more aware of Nissan's documented recall than Nissan itself?.
No incident to date. I received a notification in the mail that my passenger-side airbag is unsafe, but Nissan is still waiting for parts before the defect can be remedied. In the meantime, if an injury or death results from this defect, I will sue the manufacturer.

Takata recall I received notice of a recall for passenger side airbag & was told the part would be available the end of April & I would be notified, to date I have received no nonfiction. I was instructed not to allow passenger's to use that seat, this is causing a major inconvenience for me. Also why is only one air bag recalled, when they were all obviously installed at the same time. I would like to know when this will be resolved.
Takata recall. I was notified in the spring of 2017 that my passenger side airbags were recalled and car is unsafe to drive. Takata recall . Have waited 8 months for recall repair with no date in sight. They suggest I either wait for repair which could be years away or to get another car. I cannot afford another car, my car was in excellent shape and I cannot travel with friends in the passenger seat who get car sick. Airbag recall is for passenger side. The resale of this car without a passenger side airbag with an uncompleted recall will be very poor.

Nissan Versa 2007-> travelling on a hwy approximate speed 110 kms/hour, sliding off the road and over stearing my vehicle resulting in 8. 5 rollovers. My passenger air bags deployed above head panel succeeded only if there was passenger in my vehicle. Long story short, why were my driver bags, steering wheel, side head panel not deployed? this happened a couple days ago. Single vehicle accident. Im the only occupant in the vehicle. This investigation is going on. Prior to this accident. The door sounded hallow when it was shut and not really a firm solid shut like most doors. Sounded more like and old rusted 85 chevy silverado door like an empty echo inside sound. Could this car been tampered with before? carfax can only prove it if it was properly done and submitted. Perhaps a person who knew how to fix it with out submitting information to properly secure a non accident history report. Lemon for sure on the air bag issue. I can only say that its good to be alive and see my kids again.
At approximately 4:15pm I was driving east in a 2007 Nissan Versa on sr 18 at a speed of 35 mph. A truck ran a stop sign going south and I collided with his passengers side rear between the extended cab and bed. The collision caused significant damage to the front end of my vehicle. It also caused my transmission to shift or be pushed back because I can not put it into drive. Also, I believe my drive shaft was also damaged because I cannot take my keys out of the ignition. With this significant amount of damage and the speed of travel my complaint is that my vehicles airbags did not deploy.
I own a 2007 Nissan Versa, which was reareneded. I was pushed forward and rearended the car in front of me. Both ends of my car were pushed in, but the airbag never deployed. My Versa was found to be told by both insurance companies.
2008 Nissan Versa, hit in passengers side. Side curtain airbags deployed correctly. Pass seat side airbag deployed but never broke through the seat cover. Second issue with Nissan Versa we have seen.
A driver's side airbag has deployed during a collision but did not break trough the seat cover.
I purchased a 2007 Nissan Versa in July of 2006; 3 weeks later the passenger side air bag cover came off the dashboard. Took it to the dealer ship and they pushed it back in and order a new one. They said it wasn't a safety concern. They new back took about 2 months to arrive. They replaced it and a bout a week later the air bag cover came off the dash board again. Went back to the dealer ship and they kept it for a 2 days and they told me they had screwed/ bolted down the air bag to the inside of the dash board. Last week I called them because the cover came off once again and they called a field engineer to come take a look at the car, meanwhile they say is safe to drive the car like it is right now. Should I be concerned of the air bag cover exposed like it is? sense this is the 3rd time am really concerned about the safety of my family in case the bag deploys.
Takata recall date of 5-23-2016. Have not received notice to have passenger-side airbag replace. Have called local dealers and all say same thing. "maybe the replacement part will come in next month. Call us then. " after many call to various dealerships, nothing has been done to fix my problem. Wife must sit in back seat.
