I filled up my tank and yet my fuel gauge remains at below 1/4. This happened over the last 2 recent filled ups the latest being made yesterday. On the first occasion, I got stuck on the road. Today , I have to bring a gallon of gas with me to avoid getting stuck again. I called my local Nissan dealership and they said my VIN# does not show any recall and will not cover it under the recall provisions. I searched everywhere and found a similar situtation under NHTSA campaign id#10v07500. I don't understand it when my car apparently falls within the year of the recall but the VIN# does not show anything. The dealership says recall is VIN specific . Please help, VIN or no VIN , my car is manifesting the actual issues of the previously mentioned recall campaign on defective fuel pump.
Fuel pump has gone out gives false reading. . Worried could run out of gas and shut off and have a bad accident. Or someone could be killed. . Company needs a recall. . Bad wires.
My fuel gauge went to zero after I just filled up, my check engine light went on. Code p0463. The fuel pump is fine, just the fuel level sensor. I have heard this is a common issue with this year, is there going to be a recall?.
Vehicle fuel gauge does not function properly. When tested with a diagnostic reader the code p0463 came up indicating a fuel level sensor malfunction. That meant at least a $600 repair from the Nissan dealer for what apparently is a common malfunction due to a defective fuel pump module assembly. From what I have read concerning this subject it is a common occurance for this make and model of Nissan, yet the company dismisses any complaint as invalid. There was a recall for previous generations of pathfinder vehicles for the exact same problem.
Fuel pump sending unit as reported by the manufacturer back in 2010.
2006 Nissan Xterra fuel gauge. The gauge drops to e and sends a check engine code to the dash and doesn't read how much gas is in the Xterra at any give time. I have spoken to Nissan dealership and they have said it wasn't part of the national recall of other Nissan fuel tank issues. This is ridiculous I am still in the 60000 mile engine warranty and it should be covered my the fuel pump 60000 mile warranty as well.
2006 Nissan Xterra with fuel gauge defect. Apparently this is extremely common defect in the part and needs to be covered by manufacturer. Error code p0463. My service engine soon light stays on constant. I guess the only way to fix it it to buy a new fuel pump/ sensor unit. . .
