The accelerator pedal on my 2002 olds Alero is sticking. The first time this happened I was going down a mountain I live on and had to brake the entire time; I have never had to do that before. The second time it happened I was ended up going 40 on a flat road and my foot never hit the gas pedal. This has happened on several occasions since then and I'm not sure how to fix it. Thank you.

When I drive down the highway the acceleator hangs up on my Oldsmobile Alero. The engin revs up and the brakes barley stops the car. When you put the car in park it revs up and when you put it in drive it just takes off still revved.

When applying accelerator at 50-55 mph vehicle will not accelerate, engine will not respond to the pedal being pushed.
When applying accelerator at 50-55 mph vehicle will not accelerate, engine will not revv. Vehicle has been taken to dealer 4 times, cannot find a cause.
While driving about 65 mph sudden deacceleration while gas pedal was still pressed, and rpms were between 5 and 6000. That had happened to other vehicles, but they did not know what was the cause. Consumer had fixed the rotors at that time.
I did not have the cruse control set, nor was I using it. As I entered an intersection after I stopped, I touched the gas pedal and it went to the floor unaided and sped me into the intersection. This happened to me on two different ocassions on my way to work. I am so afraid of this car that I am now driving not over 30 mph to and from work and parking the car - not to drive it elsewhere. Oldsmobile refuses to release me from my lease. The shop cannot find the problem. Oldsmobile says they must duplicate the problem. I am afraid it will duplicate while I am driving and cause a serious accident. I can get no help from gm or Oldsmobile. Since it is a leased vehicle, all I want is released from the lease so that I can purchase a safer car. Thanks for your help.
Each time the accelerator pedal is pressed too hard vehicle makes a sharp left turn or pulls to the left. Contacted the dealer, was not able to find the cause. This is an unsafe car to drive, even to pass while on highway it will cause the vehicle to pull to left.
