The accelerator (throttle) got stuck while my daughter was driving approx. 45 miles per hour and caused the car to run fast causing her not to be able to stop at a intersection sending the vehicle over a ditch and hurting her and the passenger. We have police report and pictures, no other car was involved.

Car accelerated rapidly to over 60 mph while not touching gas pedal. Dealer inspection found accelerator cable binding and replaced faulty "binding" accelerator cable. Gm customer service claimed this was the first report of this kind but search of dot data base found three other reports on this year, make, and model alone. Customer was told that gm uses idenitical accelerator cable system on numerous other gm makes and models.

When my wife put the car in reverse to exit the garage, the car accelerated at a high rate of speed. She immediately went to the dealer. She never used the accelerator pedal, just the brake. Speeds approached 70 mph on the freeway. The dealership found a bad wire running by or underneath the manifold. They repaired the wire and it corrected the problem.
