I currently have the following problems with my 1998 olds Cutlass gl. My power steering is stiff and makes a "wailing" noise. My coolent system has a leak. My heat and air have completey stopped working. I have had problems (in the past that have been repaired_ with my power window locking up (drivers side). The sound system shorted out. The cd player quit working. I have replaced my wiper blades several times and they still do not clear the windshield completely. One time when my teens were using my car, they were on the interstate and the car went completely dead. . . Not only were they terrified, it was a very dangerous situation for them to be in.

2 Dash Wiring problem of the 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass

Failure Date: 08/20/2002

Consumer states that there having problems with the wiring harness when driving making it difficult to roll down the power windows. Dealer notified.

3 Dash Wiring problem of the 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass

Failure Date: 03/18/2001

Starts and runs beautifully until stopped briefly, won't resart, turns over and dies. No gas smell. After sitting 15-20 minutes, starts. Lights turn on when car is parked if buffeted by wind. Short in stalk switch. Dome light doesn't go off when door is.

Air condioning intermittently goes off. Control panel replaced, but still having problem.

5 Dash Wiring problem of the 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass

Failure Date: 01/14/1997

When driving at 30 to 40 mph consumer noticed smoke coming from the engine compartment, pulled over, and the vehicle was on fire under the dash aera of the vehicle. Cause of the fire was determined as an electrical fire. The vehicle was totaled.
