Two problems related to steering gear box sector shaft have been reported for the 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Rear passenger's seatbelt gets jammed and twisted, jamming the retractor which wont protect the occupant in a crash. There is a recall, but this vehicle is not included although it has the same problem.
When turning in either direction steering wheel drags or is not returning to make the vehicle go straight.
