Four problems related to front air bag sensor control have been reported for the 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving at 35 mph the air bag deployed inadvertently. In the process, consumer's vehicle rear ended another vehicle. Then, vehicle was towed to the dealer, who, in return, towed the vehicle back to consumer's home not repaired. The damages sustained from the collision were not repaired because consumer only had liability insurance.
Air bag light remains illuminated while driving. Dealer was contacted.
While driving air bag light appeared on the dashboard and remained on. Consumer drove the vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic informed the driver that this vehicle was not on recall.
While starting up the vehicle srs light appeared on the dashboard and remained on. Horn and the cruise control worked intermittently. Consumer drove vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that clock spring needed to be replaced due to a worn out part.
