Air conditioning system: evaporator was replaced 3 times so far, first time being under 3 year warranty. Service engine light stays on all the time now, even after being diagnosed with "no problems" and being reset. Lately, the windows won't go up and down until the car is stopped and restarted. Same thing with the speedometer and the tachometer. They just "go dead".

2 Service Engine Light On problem of the 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Failure Date: 07/26/1999

While traveling at high speeds, the engine breifly shuts down and then restarts. When traveleing at low speeds the engine stalls completely resulting in the loss of power assist for steering and braking. In both cases the service engine light illuminates. The problem is intermittent but occurs on a regular basis.
