Dash Wiring Problems of Plymouth Neon

Oil leaks, dashboard failure, noise in brakes, wind noise in passengers door. Have replaced valve cover gasket twice, replaced oil sendind unit,cam sensor was replaced now I have a big oil leak, car only has 45000 miles on it.

Dashboard indicators stop working. I could have a full tank of gas and the fuel indicator will read empty. The car could be running for an hour and the temperature still reads cold. Ph.

I contacted Chrysler daimler and was told that there are no recalls on any of the parts that have gone bad on my car, but I read the informaiton about the recalls on the NHTSA site. The same problems are wrong with my car as with the cars that have recalled parts, ie bad transmission, head gasket, and electrical. I have spent 2,200 dollars fixing this car in the past six months, and now there is a rod knocking in the engine. It does not make sense to me that other Neons with the same problems have recalled parts, but mine does not. If the parts do not need recalled, then why did they all self destruct? I thank god that I was not stranded with my two year old son in the car. I can't drive my son in my car now because the rod may come completely loose and strand us. Also, I have to drive 15 miles to school four days a week, and don't have a reliable car, anymore. I am very concerned about being stuck alongside the road in ten degree weather. I have heard too many complaint on these problems not only from other Neon owners, but dealership mechanics as well. Last Chrysler product that I will ever purchase. No safety defect mentioned.

The dash control's(speed)only works sometimes!the frontend feels like it is coming out from under the car, and the paint is peeling off the top and the sides. I am truely disappointed. Plus I have had it worked on for the headgasket. Plus gas pedal sticks.

After 2 months of a small oil leak, the problem worsened. The mechanic replaced the head gasket. Recently all of the gauges on the instrument panel completely stopped working.

All gauges on the dash quit working, the cluster and circuit board were replaced.

Dash meters were already previously fixed but said I was going to be charged to replace the 2nd time since I wasn't under warranty anymore. The oil leak is said to be found in all Neons from the mechanics I took it to.

Instrument panel on the dash board is not working. Dealer has been contacted.

Computer unit in vehicle failed.

Multiple problems with car from engine to wiring. Not happy with car contacted manufacturer and they would not do anything about the problem car!.

Electrical system failed due to a circuit board failure. This caused the digital console to completely go blank not being able to initiate readings. Please describe details.
