25 problems related to air bag light on have been reported for the 1997 Plymouth Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving the air bag light appeared on the dashboard and remained on. When the consumer pressed the born button it would not work. The consumer drove the vehicle to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic determined that the clock spring needed to be replaced.
1. The rear hatch leaked upon delivery. Three attempts were made to put some king of sealant on the exterior to prevent leakage. Some water damage to interior was never fixed. 2. Air bag light on due to clock spring failure. Waited for almost two years for Chrysler to issue recall while problem was being investigated by NHTSA. 3. Transmission failure at 115,800km. Estimated $1,800 to repair at transmission shop.

The specific failure I am experiencing is this: intermittently and randomly (about 50% of my driving time) the airbag light on this instrument panel goes on, the horn won't work, and the cruise control won't work.

Problems started with windshield wipers not functioning properly, then the back up lights didnt work, then the horn quit, then the cruise control and the airbag light came on all the time, now the lock on the side door passenger side is being tempermental. I took it in to dealer today. Kunkels in export, PA.
Windshield wipers come on without turning them on, van was taken to the dealer about three times without the defect being corrected. Air bag lights came on also. Vehicle is now out of warranty and now the air bag light is on all the time, horn does not work and the cruise control does not work.

Prior to recall notification, the horn was inoperative, and the air bag light illuminated, the dealer stated a new clock spring was needed, however consumer declined repairs. The brake lights and back up lights were inoperative, and the blower and control module were replaced.
