Air Bag Not Deploy problems of the 1997 Plymouth Voyager

Six problems related to air bag not deploy have been reported for the 1997 Plymouth Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 09/21/2002

The air bag warning light comes on intermittently. According to the information given to me by a local chyrsler dealer, this problem is typically caused by a faulty clock spring, and the driver's side air bag will not deploy when the warning light is on. The clock spring was replaced once under warranty on June 6, 1997, at 7922 miles. My complaint at that time was a crunching sound that came from the area of the steering column, when the steering wheel was turned in either direction.

2 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 05/29/2002

Airbag light keeps coming on and off, and now its staying on. Consumer is concerned that airbag may not deploy. Please provide any further information.

3 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 03/03/2002

Consumer states that clockspring has failed. Consumer has no horn, no cruise control and airbag may or may not deploy. Please provide any further information. Ts.

4 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 01/24/2002

Consumer states that the air bag senor lights comes on and stays on. Which may result in the air bag not deploying in an accident or permaturly deloying. Nlm.

5 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 12/09/1998

Hehicle was involved in an accident with another vehicle, with another vehicle, impact approx. Of 25-30 mph. Consumer vehicle air bag did not deploy. Manufacturer notified.

6 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

While traveling 25-30 vehicle ran off road and hit a pipe with left front wheel. Air bags did not deploy.
