Porsche diesel emission compliant fix: - Porsche was required to apply emission fix to 2014 Cayenne diesel - diesel emission settlement requirement is the emission fix ". . Will not result in any noticeable changes to the driving characteristics. . " - in Jan 2018, emission fix was applied to 2014 Cayenne diesel - right after fix, the car showed 2-3 sec lag from the stop. At stop, when gas pedal is pressed, the car does not accelerate for 2-3 sec, then it "jumps" - in may, car was taken to Porsche dealership. Dealer stated that this lag is normal after fix, even though there was no such lag before fix - Porsche dealership installed latest software on the car in may. After that, lag decreased from 2-3sec to 2 sec. But the car still has abnormal lag - it feels unsafe to drive the car, when merging to roundabouts, when merging from the stop - a complaint was filed with Porsche cars of America. Requirement of no ". . . Noticeable changes to the driving characteristics" was discussed. 3 Car Stall problem of the 2011 Porsche Cayenne

Failure Date: 07/01/2017

The bolts on the camshaft controller broke inside of my engine. When this happened, I was driving southbound on the 405 freeway in los angeles, CA. The car violently jerked and then stalled on the freeway. This almost caused a major accident, but thankfully everyone was able to avoid my car. I've been told by a few repair shops that the damage done by the loose bolts likely damaged the engines internal components and I will likely be needing a new engine or an overhaul of the existing engine.

4 Car Stall problem of the 2011 Porsche Cayenne

Failure Date: 05/24/2017

Driving on highway when the car dramatically lost power and stalled, luckily I was close to an exit and managed to get off the highway. However there was an 18 wheeler behind me that had to brake hard to avoid hitting me. I got to the bottom of the exit ramp and the car was barely running. Was able to get it back to the dealer (which was only 1/4 mile away) the problem was the camshaft adjust bolts on bank #1 sheared. This is a known defective part and problem with all Porsche v8 engines from 2011-2012.

5 Car Stall problem of the 2008 Porsche Cayenne

I was driving on the highway. Accelerating as I was merging into the highway. I saw smoke coming out the back. Check coolant light came on. When I stopped I saw coolant everywhere underneath the car. The dealership determined the glue from the coolant tubes failed and needs to install new coolant pipes.

6 Car Stall problem of the 2008 Porsche Cayenne

Failure Date: 05/26/2015

While leaving my home in my 2008 Porsche Cayenne turbo, the car started hesitating and then stalled out with a pdc error. After taking it in to the local Porsche dealership they reported finding nothing. The issue would occur 2 more times and I took it to a local mechanic specializing in Porsches who stated it was the throttle body. This was replaced however the issue is reoccurring with supplement errors such as chassis and check engine. My issue isn't uncommon please see provided links where others have had the same problems with their pdcc system. . Read more...
