In October 2016 my son was driving home from work. As he turned a corner in the city he heard a crack and the vehicle steered into a curb. Fortunately there were no pedestrians nor other vehicles near by. He was able to gingerly drive the vehicle home (1 mile). During a test drive, it was apparent the vehicle had a significant issue with the suspension. Investigation indicated all ball joints, sway bars and equivalent were in good condition. After taking it into a suspension shop they advised that the driver side front sub frame rusted through causing the unstable steering. They noted the passenger side is almost rusted through and the vehicle is not road worthy. Likewise with the amount of rust under neither replacing the sub frame was not recommended. Researching this condition on the internet it appears to be a common issue in certain regions of the united states. Up until this summer I used to drive this down the interstate daily. I'm thankful I stopped and likewise that my son was not on an open road. The consumers need to know about this condition and all mechanic shops should be investigating for this premature frame failure. Injury accidents will be a guarantee at higher speeds.

The selling dealership lists this vehicles current condition as, "suburb condition. " the following inspection comments were provided to me when at this dealership: a) drivers side sun visor broken, doesn't stay in place; b) left front headlight out; c) no heat control (always blowing cold); d) drivers side lumbar adjuster broken off; e) air filter dirty; f) front and rear brakes at 3 mm. Recommend front and rear pads and rotors; g) "small" oil leak near transfer case; h) front sway bar links "rattle" over bumps. An estimate was provided for parts and labor costs, but did not include parts and labor costs for fixing the heat or the engine leak(s). Also, labor costs were not provided for repairing the lumbar support. The total cost for these repairs is several thousand dollars. Based on these inspection results, and my own observation (I. E. The tires dot dates and wear indicate instability in cars performance and safety), the current condition of this vehicle is not "suburb. ".

I have had problems since I bought the vehicle. Shocks, struts, rear suspension, brakes, electrical, oil has been either leaking or burning to the existent I put some in everyother day because it is low, the sway bar and the steering column, the transmission and drive train, and the timing chain. There are many other unsafe issues I have had and I have brought it to their attention from day one because I have a beautiful daughter, but he refused to do anything to help me. It finally broke down on me and now I am without a vehicle .

I have had continued suspension problems with my 2003 Saturn Vue awd v-6. I have gone through several sets of tires with the tires wearing unevenly. I have taken it to the dealership, complaining of loud noise coming from the front end near the tires. They did not find it. I have had the sway bars replaced, and now believe that my front wheel bearing need to be replaced. I have subsequently found many, many complaints on the internet dealing with the same problem, of suspension, wheel bearing failure, and loud noise coming from the vehicles. I have also found multiple cases where owners have had to replace their wheel bearing more than once. I am very concerned about my safety, now that I know that it is not an isolated incident.
Nov. 2007 car serviced, 35311 miles seemed to be fine. Noise began, serviced March 2008, recommended I needed new brakes but could not guarantee that would solve the problem. Noise continued, took it back to be serviced July 2008 and told that the struts and sway bars needed to be replaced along with the lift gate latch and that may not solve my problem. The vehicle is only driven on city streets and interstate highways. I have been in contact with Saturn customer service and they are not working with me to my satisfaction. The vehicle is a 2006 Saturn Vue. I cannot find out if there have been other Vue's with the same problem.

Saturn Vue has issues with sway bar, had to replace o rings and do alignment--dealership/service dept claimed it was because of michigan roads, funny thing is that this vehicle has been in va most of the past 9 months. Mr. Farmer at Saturn of flint was very rude to me on the phone. Manufacturer does not appear to be concerned that this is a safety issue. My understanding is that once the o rings go then goes the alignment, tires and then brakes. I have also been told that this vehicle has had 'trouble' with the o rings. What does it take for the vehicle to be recalled?.
