Brake Light On Problems of Subaru Legacy

Check engine light - diagnosis | dtc p0971 transfer solenoid circuit (high). Inspect automatic / cvt transmission fluid | transmission oil pump leaks. How is this VIN# not om the recall list? I have done research and there are over 70,000 recalls for the parking break and over 2,000 recalls for the transmission that catches fire. Please help me get my car added to the recall list. I was driving and my parking brake light and oil temp light flashed and messages come across the dash panel. I pulled over and shut my car off. Restarted it and it stopped. I drive a few more miles and it does it again. I took it to a suabaru dealer and the things wrong with it are recalled on alot of other vehicles but not mine and it should be. Please help.

I saw the brake light come on while driving on city street, I tapped the brakes lightly and checked if my ebrake was up a few times and the light went away for a bit before it finally stayed on while driving after doing that. I thought maybe it was a sensor since light taps and braking seemed fine. I guess when I was tapping and testing the brakes over and over, I was just pumping all the brake fluid out of the corroded brake line in the back and could barely stop when I actually had to use the brakes to come to a complete stop. The brake pedal went all the way to floor and I had to assist in braking with my e-brake and engine braking into 1st gear. When I got under the car and had someone pump the brakes, I can see fluid come out of a corroded hard brake line next to the gas tank. Looking online this is one of the spots where 2 previous recalls were issued for brake line corrosion. The recalls were taken care of in 11/2013 @~89k miles and 09/2014 @~97k miles by the dealer. My car is currently at ~125k miles and has only been driven in the summer for past few years. It looks like the recall does not fix the issue and still creates a dangerous driving situation.

The at oil temp and brake light randomly start flashing and kick your car off cruise without any check engine light the transmission fluid and oil temp are not hot but causes the car to lose power. Almost been rear ended on the free way due to this happening dealership does not know what causes this due to it not always happening and the lights go off after shutting the car off and back on again multiple people have this problem with no resolution. I am a huge Subaru fan but will look else where if Subaru doesn't start fixing their mistakes,.

Tl-the contact owns a 2004 Subaru Legacy. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving at 45mph, the contact attempted to depress the brake paddle which went to the floor while the brake warning light illuminated. The contact depress the emergency brake to come to a complete stop however, the emergency brake fractured. The contact managed to drive the vehicle at low speeds to his residence where the vehicle came to a complete stop. The contact got out the vehicle and notice brake fuel leaking on the ground. The vehicle was towed by and independent towing company to a independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the brake line was saverly corroded. The vehicle was not repaired. While searching the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000. Ck.

Brake light flashes when it rains and the undercarriage gets wet. Light remains on and continuously flashes when the car is wet. The parking brake is off. The parking brake cannot be turned on when it is raining either.

I bought this 2013 Subaru Legacy limited on June 12,2019 and a week later the emergency brake light and cruise control did not work and the lights were on the dashboard. I brought the car to a Subaru dealer in wilmington, nc and was told that it needed the control panel for the emergency break which effects the cruise control. This same problem is a current recall in Subaru Legacy manual transmission and I feel that there should be a recall with the automatic transmission as well since my car is affected by the same problem. The car was just out of warranty and just over 100,000 miles . The repair is over $1200 and it is just not right that this has happened and it is not a recall. My car hesitates and turns off sometimes when slowing down at a stop or red light, rpms fluctuate as I brake or accelerate, my brake light is on solid and I get a at oil temp light flashing and then I can't use my paddleshifters at all, car sounds highly rev'd but doesn't go as fast! please help as this is a safety hazard, I drive on California freeways everyday and this is a danger to my family when commuting.

The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the VIN was not included in a recall or warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 105,000.

Parking brake , electronic parking brake not working has flashing brake light, has this been a recall.

My car door power door locks stopped working, rear wiper stopped working, rear brake lights and running lights stopped working, also radio stopped working. Upon investigation I found that the wiring harness on both sides of my rear lift gate had torn and shorted out. This is a dangerous shortcoming on this car, the wires are so short and placed under constant tension that they rip themselves apart.

The rear hatch of my Subaru Legacy wagon - the electrical wires supplying the rear brakes, hatch lock, and rear window wiper are being cut by the hatch opening and closing. Loss of rear brake lights, rear wiper function, and rear hatch locking mechanism all effected by the poor routing of these electrical wires through an accordian style boot. Very dangerous issue with regard to multiple safety concerns.

When applying brakes in snow only right front brake grabs, brake light came on, as well. Brakes work fine in dry road conditions.
