1 Ball Joint problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2023

For the second time in 1 year both my front suspension have broken off while backing up. Last year was my passenger side tire just this week my drivers sidetire just falling off from ball joints. Tesla continues emphazing iimpacted with something and they would not fix the broken joint, they have referred me to a body shop that I disagree due to the fact that it does not have any body nor structural damage just the poor suspension and ball joints that are istalled in Teslas. Someday someone is going to get hurt while driving at avg speed from these faulty parts. Thank you,.

The contact owns a 2015 Tesla Model S. The contact stated while driving approximately 25 to 30 mph, the vehicle drove over pothole and the passenger's side front and rear tires sustained blowouts. Additionally, the passenger's side front rim was fractured, rear suspension was fractured, and the rear ball joint was also fractured. The vehicle was towed to Tesla (8105 big lake road, clarkston, mi, 48346, (248) 241-9321) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the front driver's and front passenger's side fore-link assembly, the passenger's side upper rear suspension link assembly, and passenger's side rear wheel liner needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 89,000.

Here is yet another Tesla in the junkyard with a broken suspension: https://www. Iaai. Com/vehicle?itemid=26267542&rownumber=88&loadrecent=true multiple components of the suspension have snapped. The steering knuckle has broken in half and the lower arm ball joints have failed. There have been many other examples of this kind of failure and it is apparent that Tesla is quietly fixing some customers cars without even informing other owners of the danger. . Read more...

4 Ball Joint problem

Failure Date: 08/04/2017

While stopping quickly on the freeway, a terrible sound emanated from the left front wheel. I pulled off the freeway thinking something was caught on the wheel/tire to find the back of the lf wheel well cover lifted up and pressing against the tire. Once roadside got there, the tech showed me how the "a arm" had split and come off of the ball joint and dropped down and was interfering with the wheel. Service says "more than likely the forelinks were not appropriately torqued, so while drive (sic) they became loose and cracked" this could have been a serious accident if the a arm had come loose at speed. What caused this?.
