1 Other Fuel System Hoses Lines/piping, And Fittings problem of the 2016 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 04/04/2018

In little over a year, a check engine alert occurred that was the result of a problematic gas cap, depressurizing the gas tank. The first occurrence was under warranty, but the second occurrence cost $130 to replace the gas cap. Replacing a gascap twice in 14 months would seem to be a design or manufacturing flaw and should not cost $130.

2 Other Fuel System Hoses Lines/piping, And Fittings problem of the 2015 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 05/01/2016

Very difficult to fill up the gas tank, cuts off every second and as it cuts off splashes gasoline. Not only it is difficult to use the car, it is dangerous. I noticed the flap or the cover to gas cap area not sealed well and when driving so much dust sucks in and accumulate on and around the gas cap area. Every two three months I kept cleaning and vacuuming the gas cap area. The problem started gradually and eventually became impossible to fill up the tank, constantly cutting off and splashing gasoline.

3 Other Fuel System Hoses Lines/piping, And Fittings problem of the 2007 Toyota Camry

Failure Date: 06/01/2012

Ongoing issue the car burns oil like crazy. I have to add oil before my next oil change is scheduled (every 3000 miles). There is black soot buildup in the gas tank door around the cap. It has been like this awhile, just never thought anything of it until I met a fellow Camry owner who's 2009 Camry was recalled for the exact same issue but mine does not have the recall. The black soot has been there basically from the very beginning (2007), it started noticeably burning oil at about 130000 miles, the car is now at about 163000.
