I was pulling out of the parking lot at bank of America in lithonia, GA and when I put the car in reverse, it accelerated and I couldn't stop it until it hit a light pole located behind the car. It was a loud impact but thank god my husband and I were not injured nor did we injure another person or their vehicle. It was only the grace of god that spared our lives because it was at 9:00 a. M. In the morning and a lot of people were coming in and out of the bank. I have had other episodes of acceleration which I reported to Toyota in 2012 when I had the first accident which cost 12,000 in repairs. They inspected the vehicle at that time and stated that they couldn't find anything wrong. I did experience occasional episodes of acceleration after that inspection but no accidents until February 1, 2020. I purchased the car in 2012.

I recently had a flat tire after hitting something laying on a bridge and went to place my spare tire on my vehicle, and could not remove the lug nuts. Brought the car to an automotive shop and they could also not remove the lug nuts and said they were swollen very bad and none of their tools fit. Overall the lug nuts were swollen and needed to be replaced because they were swollen. This is very dangerous for driver safety causing drivers to drive on flat tires until reaching a place they can put air into their tires. Also, the fact that automotive shops can not take off the lug nuts either means costly repairs for the driver.
Left rear rim cracked, no tire damage or other wheel damage. Did not notice any major pothole while driving. Did not notice during any event, just the distortion of the rim when approaching the vehicle.

During both wet and dry conditions at times the car doesn't realign after making turns, grinds while turning, pulls to the right, pull and shake violently when having to come to or make an abrupt stop. With car in park, turned off, and keys out of the ignition the steering wheel shakes violently and tries to oscillate. Can provide video upon request.

Complete replacement required of both rear wheel bearings, backing plates, brake calipers, pads and rotors, with recommended replacement of tires, on a vehicle with less than 52,000 miles. Because the vehicle is out of warranty, the initial repair estimate was almost $4000. 00. The dealer, however, agreed to repair for about $2500. 00 (pass through cost of parts). This matter came to light upon hearing a 'screeching' noise when the vehicle was moving - the screeching noise suggesting a wheel bearing was failing. Manufacturer alleges replacement is needed due to exposure of these parts to road salt. However, I have owned numerous other vehicles that were exposed to road salt and never experienced such problems. Contrary to the manufacturer's allegation, I suspect a design or manufacturing defect in these parts. In fact, about the same time as the above problem, another like vehicle that we own (2017 model with about 15,000 miles) experienced a frozen rear brake caliper (allegedly for the same reason, namely, expose to road salt) that is being replaced under warranty.

1)body- the body of the vehicle (paint) seems to be chipping and/or rusting at an increasingly rapid rate with no known causes. This rusting is causing the value of the car to plummet as I am trying to sell the vehicle. It first appeared in about 2019 and has been getting steadily worse without any way to stop it. 2) suspension- on every single Toyota I’ve owned (4) the struts wore very quickly and are not a cheap fix. I had to at one point, fix them more than once in the same vehicle. I was told by the repair tech that it is a common issue seen in Toyotas. If a strut goes while driving it can cause major safety issues for the driver. 3)wheels- the hubcaps more specifically speaking, on every Toyota I’ve owned, have also had an issue maintaining its hubcaps. One rolled off on the highway and nearly caused me to crash as it hit the side of my car and slid under the rear tires and made me slide all over the snowy highway. Luckily there weren’t many vehicles on the road or it could’ve been catastrophic. I also notice that the light for the tire pressure never turns off either. I can fill the tires, empty the tires, it does not matter, the light will never go off.

For a year and a half, my car has always refused to accelerate on time, often overcompensating and lunging forward, or undergoing a rolling sensation and accelerating. I had the same problem with the steering/tires twice in the past week and today as well. When making a turn and accelerating the car tires skid very loudly and the steering wheel moves on its own to the left and right. I almost went out of my lane because of this. Tires are fine and do not show excessive wear or damage.
Sidewall damage happened very quickly tire deflated quickly indicator on dash illuminated. Pulled into a service station and tire was completely flat. Required road service to install spare because wife is a heart patient and cannot change tire. Luckily she was going through a town at under 40 mph. Picture attached of sidewall damage not sure if it looks defective or was a road hazard.
Check vsc system.
Roaoing noise when wheels turn. Loud on smooth road from 20mph on up. Rythem increases with speed. Toyota inspection stated all tires have inside edge feathered tread. Very excessive on rear tires. Replace all tires to stop noise. Cause unknown.
Was raining and push the brake and the car didn't stop and the wheels slipped on the pavement.
Went to the walmart tire & auto center in sand springs, ok (store #00838) for a new set of tires. When I left, the tpms was showing an error. I returned to the center and they said it would clear on its own. It did not. They had broken one of the tpms sensors which is why the system was faulting. So, they sent me away with a faulty tpms that they damaged. I tried to get it repaired at my hometown walmart in searcy, ar but was unsuccessful, so I took it back to the Toyota dealer where I purchased the car and they repaired it at my expense. I have contacted the sand springs walmart management about the situation with no response. I contacted walmart corporate in bentonville, ar and their respose was to contact the sand springs walmart to resolve the issue, which I have already attempted to do. Attached are pictures of the tpms sensor that was broken by the sand springs walmart, and a picture of the after-market tpms sensor that was installed by the searcy, ar walmart that was not compatible with my Toyota. I have copies of letters to both the sand springs walmart as well as walmart corporate that I can provide upon request. I thought the NHTSA should be aware that the sand springs walmart tire & auto center was damaging the tpms on cars and sending vehicles on their way with faulty tpms. I have included an image of the service order #485700 42175 which indicates they reset the tpms which clearly did not happen. It also has a signature on the form that is clearly not mine.

Can goes out of control.
Purchased used Camry from Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/ram, 8701 abercorn st. , savannah, GA. The dealership had replaced the tires, 4 each, with nexen npr/z ah5, 215/55r17, maer 4618, dot 8e8v. My purchase date was 11feb2019 and the vehicle had 59,554 miles. At 60,325 miles (729 miles on the tires), driving back from the license plate office at approximately 45mph, I heard air exiting my left front tire and then the tire was immediately flat. I took the said tire to cdjr dealership for a tire replacement and the accused me of hitting a pothole, no pothole was hit and eventually the dealer replaced the tire with no further issues. Tis past Friday night after coming home from work (05/31/2019) getting my personal equipment from my car and with 63,052 (3456 miles), I noticed a bulge on the right hand tire at night, no pothole has been hit. The bulge is similar to the tire that blew out, the bead is separating from the wheel. I have had 2 of 4 nexen 215/55r17 that have failed and these tires should not be allowed on our highway system, very dangerous, especially if driving on the interstate at 70 mph. Please see attached photos. I have an appointment tomorrow to install goodyear tires and be rid of the nexen brand, very bad tires, thank you.

Hit a pothole on interstate 75 and bented the front right rim. Cannot balance the tire without a new rim.
Dear sir/madam, I've bought a certified Camry 2015 with 30k miles on it 6 month ago from ourisman fairfax Toyota dealer! the car came with 4 brand new goodyear tires. Last week, both my front tires got flat at the same time on the sidewalls which means the tires were of such a low quality! one of my tires got a 3-inch hole on the sidewall at low speed! thank god we weren't on a highway in the time of that incident! anyway, I followed up this problem to at least get my flat tires covered by my Toyota certification or tire manufacturer warranty. Both of them denied to help me and referred me to each other! I'm still shocked why two front tires should get flat at the same time on the sidewall not on tread! while they've been only used for less than 8k miles! it puts my whole family's life in danger! they should at least pay me for the flat tires! I highly appreciate if you could help me solve this issue, regards, (xxxx) parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. While the vehicle was being driven at approximately 45mph on a highway in wet conditions, on a flat, smooth road surface, I heard a loud pop but there was not an impact to the performance of the vehicle. I continued to drive 1 mile to my destination and parked the vehicle. Approx. 30 minutes later I returned to my vehicle, backed out of the parking spot and noticed a change in the vehicles performance. I immediately stopped the vehicle to inspect the tires and the right front tire was flat. At the time of the occurrence, the mileage was approx 9,390k. I contacted road side assistance, they arrived & changed the tire and I will contact the dealership, team Toyota in glen mills, PA.
I was accelerating to 40 mph, until I noticed that I was about to exceed 40 mph. I removed my foot from the gas pedal and then, back of the car started to lose traction. I started to apply very light pressure to the brakes to correct the direction of the car. I looked where I wanted to go and made small adjustments to the steering wheel, until the car would stop drifting from lane to lane. The small adjustments did not help, and I lost complete control of the car. The car went to the left side of the road, then the right, then back to the left. As soon as the car went back to the left, it hit a ditch covered with rocks that swung the car to the right. I noticed that the rpms of the car went up from 1,500 rpm to (about) 6,000 rpm and I was also able to regain some control of the car. I was able to steer slightly, but not enough for me to straighten up the car. As the car was about to go off the road, I was able to steer it into a tree, rather than the small ravine in font of it and risk my life.
On 11/21/18 I received my car from jim coleman's service dept. My tire icon was displayed on the dash. My tire pressure app. Indicated one of my new tires was severely over inflated at 45 psi. The side wall of the 94 v rated tire said " max load pressure 44 psi never inflate beyond 40 psi. " had I not had pressure sensors in my rims, I would have trusted my car was road worthy and safe. They jeopardized my safety and that of others by allowing my car to leave in such a condition. I could have had a blow-out at highway speeds, that could have caused an accident. I am notifying you of this egregious error to preclude its happening to future clients. The proper inflation would have been 35 psi. Please let me know what you intend to do to improve the safety awareness and practices of this dealership. The tire when I was driving on the tire blew up and I went to Toyota service they refused to make report to the factory, but the lady refused and said to me that I hit a bot hole which is not true the tire blew up by its own, I attached the photo. I believe that's a factory problem and Toyota are responsible to check that problem. I was about to die. Thank god I was near the shoulder of the road and didn't hit anyone. The road is their and there are no botholes it's new baved road.
I had just exited a freeway, and was entering the surface streets via a stoplight. After turning onto the surface street, the signal ahead turned red. I attempted to apply the brakes in traffic while traveling at or less than 20 m. P. H. , but the brakes did not respond as normal. I pushed the brake pedal down and the vehicle did not stop as normal. Instead, the pedal depressed further than normal, and I felt a heavy vibration feedback through the pedal. I was approximately 2-3 car lengths from the car in front of me, and I pumped the brakes and depressed the pedal as far as I could physically manage. At that point, the vehicle began to slow, but so gradually that I was certain to collide with the car in front of me. I then steered to the right (I was in the rightmost lane) toward the curb of the sidewalk. The front passenger wheel went up on the curb and the vehicle stopped. I put on the hazard signal, then when traffic cleared behind me, pulled into a gas station approximately 40 feet in front of me. When I steered back onto the roadway after initially stopping, the steering felt very loose, and I felt as though I was driving on ice or without control over the steering. Once in the gas station parking lot, I put the car in park, and turned off the engine. I examined the pedals for blockage and looked for fluid leaks, but found nothing. I started the vehicle and tested the gas and brakes in the empty parking area, and everything responded as normal. However, the front passenger tire has a tear in the sidewall and the rim is lightly damaged.
My car went into a deep ditch and the driver of my car incurred a terrible concussion while banging her head on the steering wheel upon impact. Her seat belt was on. I want to know why the airbag did not deploy.

4 new yokohama avid ascend p215 60 r16 tires purchased from Toyota dealer/service center on 4/10-11/18, car mileage 82455. On 6/6/18 one tire replaced due to large bulge in side wall of right front tire (car mileage 84540). Requested that all other tires be inspected for defects at the time this tire was replaced; was told all other tires were fine; no bulges. On 6/11/18 (5 days later) noted a bulge in the side wall of the right rear tire which is 3 inch by 2 inch. I've called the dealership to tell them I want a refund on these tires as I don't trust the yokohama tires any more. . . Waiting for a response in both cases, fortunately, I was not traveling on an interstate, and the vehicle was stationary when I noticed the problem. However, I do a lot of interstate travel. I'm especially concerned because there was a tire sale at the dealership at the time I purchased these tires since two of the four of my new tires (so far) were defective, I wonder how many others have purchased tires during this sale. I'm not sure how I can take a picture of the bubble, but would be happy to do so, in addition to providing any receipt information needed to further investigate. Please advise.

My car pulled to the left side causing me to have an accident.
This is not a takama recall complain. It is regarding my car that has been id' that it is 2000 year make car, the local dmv did made an inspection and conclusion was that is it 2000 - due to some stickers everywhere - on the door, on the hood of the car and other places.

(hybrid mod) while traveling on an interstate in may , the rt rear tire blew out(odo 7,000). Seemed to be no reason, it just blew out. Then in July, again on an interstate, the lt rear tire blew(odo 12,000). Once again, no reason, just blew out. We we're told by firestone that the tires on my vehicle have been discontinued & I can not do a warranty claim because I did not purchase the tires from them, Toyota did so Toyota has to do the claim. Toyota tells me they do not warranty tires, firestone does & I have to go through firsetone for warranty claim. No one seems to want to address the fact that there are still 2 more tires (on the front) that could still blow out & cause me to have an accident. Dealer told me they couldn't help because I didn't keep the tires to show they were defective. The brakes have always been overly sensitive. The car then started braking (the collision safety feature) when there are no other vehicles, people, animals, etc in sight. It has happened on highways, city streets, straight roads, in curves, sunny days, rainy days, etc. The vehicle randomly decides to engage the braking safety system when it should not. All the dealer where I purchased the vehicle could offer as a suggestion was to turn that feature off! as if all that wasn't enough, while backing up & coming to a complete stop (but still in reverse) the car lunged back another foot or better causing me to collide with a basketball pole in my driveway. After that, when I pump fuel niw I have to hold the handle so it doesn't touch or lean against the bottom part of the neck hole. Otherwise, any fuel you try to put in it will flow right back out & run down the car to the ground. I have repeatedly asked dealer to deal with these issues & told them I don't feel like ithe vehicle is safe at this point. After months of run around & not returning my calls, dealer referred me to Toyota today.
The car it's hard to turn now, it make noise when I accelerate, liking grease-oil on the ball joints. It sounds like the problem with the recall , but my car is 2-11. . A month before the recall ( that starts in 3 -11). . So I took it to dealership, and they didn't wanted to help me with that. They want to charge me like $800. What can I do??.
My car makes this sound on the front when you go 30mph already change tire like 3 time rotors ones struts brakes n it just this noise that is annoying.
2012 camty shakes when accelerating around 20-50 mph.
The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Camry. The contact recently purchased the vehicle and kept hearing an abnormal noise coming from the front end. The contact took the vehicle to bill kidd's Toyota (10401 york rd, cockeysville, MD 21030, (410) 666-8900) where it was diagnosed that there was a rod stuck in one of the tires. The tire was replaced at browns Toyota (7167 ritchie hwy, glen burnie, MD 21061, (410) 761-9000). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage was 6,000. The VIN was invalid.

Steering wheel lose control and the has to be held down, taking the wheels out of control and sways from side to side, sometimes on the left some times on the right (steering wheel assist).
Hit a pothole on interstate 75 and the right front tire broke off the rim. The rim and tire had to be replace.
My car rear driver side tire got flat and passenger side tire has bubble. My car has only 2500miles on it.
This car tire was changed with primewell ps830/850 & it has 40000 miles of warranty. Tire was replaced in 2012. At the time car millage was 47282. Now the 2 tires are worn out completely & 1 tire is separating out. I have to replace all 4 tires today. Today millage of the car is 80270 which is less than 40000 miles. This tires are not good for drive & it will create safety hazard. When I called primewell they told me that tire has only 5 years of warranty, if they give only 40k or 5 years of warranty then why not they write it down in tires. Today I replaced tires from firestone mooresville, nc 28117. So I request you to do more investigation about it & please take appropriate an actions. I am attaching when 1st time tire was installed firestone copy & today I replaced with same type of tire copy. Also attached photos of separating tires copy. Firesone guys told me that they will try to keep those tire for around week. So please try to see if you have any question. Thank you,.
