Toyota Camry Hybrid 2007 engine oil burning too fast, I drive only 1500 miles after changed my engine oil. In the last time it was decreased 1100 miles. Also my engine covered by engine oils and liking everywhere. Second, I drove yesterday and my brake stuck and cant stop. It was happened me second time.
At all times, when the car is on, the abs actuator assembly is running almost constantly and there is an audible leak from the unit. The dealership diagnosed the leak in the anti-lock braking unit today and said it was not covered under Toyota's service extension program. I don't understand how this is not safety related, yet what brought me into the dealership was a safety recall on the power window master switch assembly. Imminent loss of braking seems much more dangerous than power windows, but I guess Toyota doesn't think so.
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. While the contact's girlfriend was driving approximately 45 mph, a high pitched alarm sounded. When the contact attempted to apply the brakes, the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard. The vehicle failed to stop and continued to coast forward. The contact had to continuously pump the brake pedal in order for the vehicle to come to a complete stop. The contact took the vehicle to the Toyota of lacrosse dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake reservoir and actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was aware of the failure and informed the contact that the repair was no longer covered under warranty. The manufacturer opened case number: 1707711063. The approximate failure mileage was 201,000.
You had an investation into power breaking concerns, I had this issue https://. . Read more...
The vsc system is out and no one know how to fix it even the dealer it not showing up on the scanners . I was on the freeway the car lights con on on dash. No breaks it was scary I didn't know what to do if a. Next car or cars was infrount of me I will have been real hurt because I was going 60 to 65 mph I had no control. Of the car can you all look into a recall on this before someone get kill !!!I was locky I was calm not everyone will be calm. . . . Takata recall. . .
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The contact stated that the vsc, abs, hazards, and swerving vehicle warning indicators illuminated. Also, an amber colored symbol with an explanation point in the center illuminated, but the contact was not sure what the warning indicator implied. The failure occurred a total of four times. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened case number: 1707270334. The contact researched the carfax information and found that the vehicle's year, make, and model was under investigation for similar brake issues. The approximate failure mileage was 53,000.
Vehicle was stationary with the engine on. In 2014 Toyota issued a warranty enhancement notification - ze1 for the brake actuator assembly issue. I took my car to the dealership and the problem was corrected. A month ago (2 years later) the same exact symptoms occurred (same 5 warning lights). I called Toyota and they said since my vehicle was already corrected, the warranty enhancement ze1 no longer applied. Seems to be a recurrent problem that Toyota should warranty.
Camry hybrid brakes pulsating - this is a hazardous issue which seems to be ignored by Toyota. Just google, "check vsc system Toyota Camry Hybrid" and you will see that 100s of results show up involving threads that are at times 100 posts long and mentioning specifics like "intermittent loss of assisted braking" and "NHTSA investigating 30,000 Toyota Camry Hybrids for brake assist problems" - brake assist problems are not to be ignored. Toyota is acting socially irresponsibly, without question, to not have issued a recall on this part. Since I picked up the vehicle 5 years ago (used with 45k on it) there has always been a strange sound when applying the brakes, especially when aggressively - if needed. I have a newborn on the way and will not feel safe driving in my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid until I can afford this costly repair (at average of $2500-$3000 to have dealer install, from what others say). Please help. We also own a 2017 Toyota rav4 hybrid and have so far had no issues with that.
My abs brake actuator was diagnosed as faulty. I've car is less than 10 years old and has only 22,000 miles on it so NHTSA action #pe14001 should apply. The Toyota dealers refuse to honor the agreement because I am in florida now but I purchased the car on guam.
Less than 60k miles and now my check vsc system light is on and brakes are not very responsive. Takes a lot longer to stop.
My car has hit 171073 and is the 2nd time or 3 time that saids "check vsc system"and my stability control is notbworking propertly the dealer said is something normal with this year mkd and model of the car please help.
Warning signs appeared on dash and the car was taken to a local dealership for diagnostic. Upon diagnostic, the dealership advised to change the hybrid battery to fix the problem. Took the car to the local hybrid battery expert and found that the battery was operating normal. Took the car to another dealership and they advised abs actuator was faulty. Toyota acknowledged using the faulty abs actuator and was offering free replacement for vehicles under 150k. The car just passed 160k and the service was denied. The car has been serviced by the local Toyota dealership for regular mainteinance and they should have been instructed to inform the customers of possible danger of faulty abs actuator. The owner of the vehicle was never informed when the car was in for services at the dealership.
Borrowed my mom's 2007 hybrid camry which she has been bringing to city Toyota in daly city, CA, for maintenance. While on freeway I noticed delay in response when braking and have to press down harder as did my daughter who uses it for work. Called city Toyota and was told there's a limited service campaign (lsc) #e0u for brake reservoir tank replacement which should be fixed for free (similar to a recall). After speaking to two service employees I was told that I can leave the car on sat, June 18, and should be fixed by the coming Monday. The service mgr, called me and said I needed to get a diagnostic completed for $160 and if it's related to the lsc I would be accountable for the $160. I was also told that I needed to leave the car for one week. I explained I should not have to pay the diagnostic if the brake problem is related to the lsc. He then told me that he would not fix the car "because of our conversation". This was upsetting as my husband and I drove 2 cars 20 miles away so that I can get back home. I told him to just fix the lsc and do not do the diagnostic and he told me to pick up my car since he will not authorize anyone to fix it. So I picked up my car again with my husband and will be taking it else where. The service mgr also lied on the invoice stating that I declined the offer to fix the lsc and that he offered to fix it and complete the work on the same day. Why would I go back and forth without having the car fixed when I know it should be done for free? this service manager acted unprofessionally and is a liar. In addition, my mom brought in her car for a 45k service early 2016 which included brakes and also in 2015 for 40k service. The lsc date was effective July 10, 2014, which meant that city Toyota neglected to fix this brake problem during those 2 times.
Brakes went soft, loud squealing noise all lights on dashboard and check vsc system.
After swerving/braking to avoid collision in intersection, vehicle dash warning indicators for brake, abs, and check vsc all illuminated. Was able to continue driving to destination while braking cautiously and took car to Toyota dealer the next day. Dealer confirmed the abs actuator needed to be replaced and that the car was unsafe to drive without spending the $2000+ (I was 700 miles over the warranty enhancement end date) to fix it. After reviewing the maintenance records on my vehicle, this will be the 3rd brake actuator in this vehicle. How can a manufacturer acknowledge an issue with a critical system like this, but get away without a recall? an investigation into the mean time between failure of a critical safety system such as this needs to be undertaken as this is criminal.
The Toyota warranty enhancement propgram (ze1) is a sham. My 2007 Camry Hybrid has no brakes, no skid control, and goes on and off without warning. I took my car to peruzzi Toyota in hatfield PA while it was "under extended warranty" and they failed to diagnose the problem, because the warning lights go on and off. I showed picture of the lights on, and followed totyoa recommended procedures on the ze1 issue. I took it back later to same dealer and the lights stayed on, and they said yes it is part of the ze1 warranty but now it is past the time limit. This is a known issue, Toyota is shirking their responsibilities but not issuing a recall. The car is defective, dangerous, and at $1500 plus in need of repairs. The problem can happen stationary, moving or failing to stop!.
Car is making a chirping noise when you engage the brake in park. Noise can also be heard when you put harder pressure on the brakes whilst in gear . Based on research it sounds like the actuator may be faulty. So far I have not had any lights on the dash come on.
Driving highway at 60 mph and dashboard lit up, tried to brake and very little brake, eventually stop with very little control on brake. Dashboard says "check vsc system". Research shows its covered here. . Read more...
First of all it started making loud squeeling noise when I would reverse use the breaks . . . . . Then the other day as I was driving like normal all day and I came to a merge lane to turn onto the main street turning to the right I was behind a cop so he went then I went as soon as I started making the turn all the lights turned on the break went hard and the steering wheel was hard to move so I had to swearve and pull over till the vehicle finally came to a stop I put it in park then turned it off and on and the warning lights turned off and after a few mins drove like normal . Then this happend again yesterday to my son here's his story: when I was driving home from work I was coming to a four way stop them all of a sudden all the lights came on the dash board the breaks got hard and the steering wheel too and I had to swerve to not hit the green truck in front of me then it barley made it home. As of this morning I tried starting it reversing it and it won't move all the lights are still on the vcs check system is on and it won't turn off or move . Please help!.
Check vsc system comes on, the brake becomes very hard and lights such as abs and others come up on the dashboard while in motion.
I had to replace today my brake actuator and bleed brakes because started in one week ago, every time I stepped in my brake made noise like when you honk for somebody. I would like to know if Toyota had a recall about this problem because I think they did and I paid $1. 800 for a problem I think they should pay for this problem in my car.
I was driving to work in the morning and while on the freeway, my brakes suddenly did not work. Every light on the dash turned on and it said "check vsc system" it has now happened three times and I am afraid to drive my vehicle. I searched online and saw that this has happened to a lot of other people so I feel it's a defect and there should be a recall.
Driving at 40 mph, check vsc system, brake, traction , warning lights came on simultaneously, vehicle experienced immediate loss of brakes and power steering. Needed to use emergency braking and down shift to bring car to complete stop. Was on suburban area paved road and was going straight.
Today morning I saw my 2007 Camry Hybrid reporting " check vsc system" "check hybrid system" on the dashboard. I the breaking seems to be hard. I dont see my vehicle in the recall list though but vehicle has a issue. The customer support does let me detail the process and is helping me anyway. Abreast me the procedure to take it up further with Toyota.
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. While reversing with the brake pedal depressed, the vehicle failed to respond and suddenly jerked to a halt without warning. After the brake pedal was released, the vehicle would independently brake. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake actuator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.
Tl the contact owns a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. While driving, the vehicle failed to stop when the brake pedal was depressed. The contact had to apply the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to galaxy Toyota (located at 750 NJ-36, eatontown, NJ 07724, (732) 544-1000) where it was diagnosed that the abs activator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the repair fees. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was out of warranty. No further assistance was offered. The approximate failure mileage was 167,000.
Decrease in braking while driving. "barking" sound when depressing brake pedal (hard). Sound occurs in park also. No warning lights displayed on dashboard as of yet. Delay in braking when shifting out of park.
Check vsc system warning came on along with brake and other warning icons. Have noticed that this is a more than normal problem for 2007 Camry Hybrids.
I was just leaving my house and approaching a stop sign. As I engaged to brakes nothing happened and out of nowhere the car makes a hard stop and my dash lights up with warning lights. Instantly nothing about this car seems safe!.
Driving today with my son in the car I lost all brake power. Unable to use the brakes then moments later it returned.
Braking went very soft. Check vsc system warning message appeared along with multiple dash light and additional error message to check hybrid system.
I had taken the car in for an oil consumption test. While I was there I was advised of a bulletin stating an brake reservoir tank needed to be replaced. When I got the car back everything seem fine. The next day I heard what I would call a chirping coming from inside the engine department. I didn't have time to see where it was coming from at that time. I checked it later the next day, but couldn't get it to act up. Again, the next day I heard it again. It took several days for me to figure out that it only showed up when the brakes were depressed. I waited to take care of it since I knew I was going to take the car back for the oil consumption test and it was only a noise. On 2/7/15 I took it back to the dealer. They told me it was a faulty actuator and it would cost $1447. 39 to repair. I went on line regarding the problem with the reservoir. It states "analysis of the failure data indicate that each condition provides warning prior to any reduction in power assisted braking, with less than 10 percent of all reports and claims involving diagnostic codes or complaint narratives indicating increased braking effort or reduced brake effectiveness. In addition, most of the incidents in which reduced braking assist appears to have occurred involved operation in a reduced assist mode and not a sudden, complete loss of power assisted braking". In those cases they will replace the actuator. I feel this was caused by by the reservoir being replaced. I never had a problem until this was done!.
When I was driving at 65 mph. . The check vsc system warning came on. This happened about 1 month ago. I thought nothing of it because it went off after I started the car again. . . So 3 weeks later it comes on again and goes off. When it cane on the brakes didn't work as well, and all of the warning lights were on. Yesterday on 3/25/2015 it came on and has now stayed on. The brakes are working correctly, however, I know something is wrong. I have been researching this issue and found out that Toyota is assisting with fixing this issue. M y next step is to call them.
On 20 March 2015, while starting the car, a warning indicator showed up on my instrument panel. The indicator stated ( check hybrid system. . . . . Vsc system ). I parked the car for the day. Day 2, I took the car to a auto shop and had a basic scan that reads abs codes performed on the car. The basic scan reveled to "replace battery pack". Two mechanics informed me while performing the scan, a burning odor was observed from the car. I drove the car home and parked it. I lastly observed the only information displayed from the instrument panel was " check hybrid system". The only lights on were the warning light and the engine light.
"check vsc system" . Brake system will not work properly. Must push very hard to get any braking. Then the vsc will engage and brake very hard. I experienced this one week ago; my wife experienced it this morning dropping of the kids to school. The car has a very dangerous jerking action as the brakes engage and disengage based on the computer.
