On my third clock switch in my steering column it is the device that feeds power to the air bag for the driver side air bag it seem that if the car detects a short or interruption in the electrical line it will light up the dash light . For me this has happen 3 time I am at 95,000. Mileage. Replacing the clock spring switch fixes it but the part is nether a switch or a spring go figure. Hope this helps.
