The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that the srs warning indicator remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the wiring needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v34000 (air bags). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 67,000. The VIN was not available.

3 Wiring problem

Failure Date: 05/03/2010

The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that the service engine light illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership where the contact was informed that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. A few days later, the service engine light illuminated again so the vehicle was taken back to the dealership. The dealer stated that there was a hole in the fuel line and wires under the hood were chewed away. The current and failure mileages were unknown.
