1 Engine Funny Noise problem of the 2010 Toyota Corolla

Failure Date: 08/01/2015

When applying the brakes, my car will rev up. Especially when I'm going down hill. Another concern is that my car will make a 2-3 second rattling noise upon starting up. It only makes this noise once in a while and it is coming from the engine. Another issue I'm having is the car's check engine light, track light and vsc off light coming on simultaneously on any rainy day and staying on for several days after it has stopped raining. I avoid driving at fast speeds when its rainy because obviously the car is very unstable. My driver side window wont open or close and very cold days and other days it makes a weird noise. I just bought this car used and it has about 79k miles on it.

2 Engine Funny Noise problem of the 2009 Toyota Corolla

Failure Date: 11/18/2010

2009 Toyota Corolla 4 cylinder engine automatic transmission. When you press the accelerator pedal in the 2,000 rpm range there is an audible whistle coming from the engine. In the lower rpms there is no unusual sound and that same goes for the higher rpms, but every time the rpm needle goes through the 2,000 rpm it whistles.

4 Engine Funny Noise problem of the 2003 Toyota Corolla

Failure Date: 09/11/2007

My Toyota Corolla started making a hammering noise when pressing the accelerator I was going downhill on the expressway. I drove to the nearest town and called Toyota who informed me I had to get a tow truck and get it to the dealership for service. I did so, and the next day was informed that the car's engine needed replacement as it had been damaged due to lack of oil. I was surprised since my car's last service was at the same dealership for an oil change just a month and two weeks before. At that time they did not indicate a problem with the motor and said my car was ok. My car has 49,500 miles and I am now facing a very expensive repair (change all the internal motor parts) since my car's 5 year/60,000 warranty expired just last month.
